North Oconee River Greenway trailhead at Oconee St next to the Waffle House is now open! You can park at the adjacent park and ride. There is supposed to be a future pedestrian bridge over Oak St to get over to the Firefly trail. I am posting a screen grab from the Athens Clarke County website.

Nice area. There have been some changes to the roads, traffic flow and shops here. Can access by transit or walking and biking, but I don't see many on these modes. Also still a high traffic area for cars.
