Enjoyed a great ride on the trail with friends. We parked at Sandy Creek Nature Center and road all the way till it ended at Carriage Lane. It's completely paved, it was our 1st trip so we did get a little confused but had no problems navigating back to where we started. We ended up with 14+ miles round trip which made for a great ride. Lots of other cyclists, walkers, and runners. But not crowded on the day we went during the week. Highly recommend

Love the paved path. Sometimes, you just want to go on a quick p but peaceful walk. This is the place.

The Firefly trail is a great network from town to the countryside. Since it is built on the old railroad, it is level and not to demanding. Restroom facilities are available and dog friendly. Has a nice covered picnic table area.

This is the best place to bike in Athens. Our 7 and 10 year old are able to do the whole trail (or all the trail I know about). It's all paved, mostly shaded, and lots of fun to go from the Sandy Creek Nature Center to the downtown area. We usually stop at Lexington Rd.

Love coming here for a walk or run! Came here on a sunday afternoon with my husband and walked for about 2 miles. The greenway is gorgeous, and safe. There's parking along the greenway, you can also park at the sandy creek nature center.

Really nice paved trail. It goes along the river and it is great for bike rides, exercise, and you get to see some nice scenery. It's a pretty historic area of Athens. You also can walk off the path and fun cool spots to relax, or maybe fish. The coverage the green and the summer so nice

I took my dog for a walk here for the first time on a sunny Sunday morning (10:30am ish) and it was so nice! The walking path is wife enough for people to pass me and my dog, clean and well kept area, and plenty of signs to navigate your way. Only minor complaint is that there aren't many trash cans except at the beginning of the trails.
