We travel all of the time and are very loyal to Marriotts…BUT…| The New South Motor Inn is the best place to stay. So this isn’t luxury but what it is, is inviting. Easy to control temperature. Spotless room, great Keriug coffee, so …

I feel compelled to give a 3 stars because everyone else fell for the concept instead practicality, and these reviews need balance. This is a fun concept motel, and this is why we decided to give it a chance. Madison is a great place for us to stop for the night when driving back from FL, and I'm tired of rooms and ACs smelling like mildew or worse (I'm in the trade). This is a fairly recent reno with a fun twist, and they installed mini-splits, which is a plus, so we stopped. Pictures are misleading for sure. I booked the least expensive but also smallest room last minute, and still paid $145 for one night! Some other hotels down the road are 1/2 - 2/3 that price with bigger rooms, but yes, apples and peaches since this GA. The place was not even half full, so no last minute deals for a room where you could barely walk around the bed, very little space for luggage, and the bathroom reminded me of our first house but smaller... Nowhere to put any toiletry but a long mirror going down to a tiny sink. Not sure what the concept is here, but practicality was not kept in mind. Nice towels and products, though. The main hotel sign needs TLC, and the brick wall needs pressure washing. Keep the place appealing if you're going to charge that kind of money! We might try a larger room next time, but one thing is sure, DO NOT get a room next to the ice machine... I'm not even sure you can change room since there is no staff on site.

We stayed here overnight for a friend's wedding and it was the perfect place! Location was great for the venue and check in was super simple. The room was so cozy and, honestly, cleaner than some hotel rooms I've stayed in before. I was VERY tempted to steal the whole bed because that was the comfiest hotel bed I've ever stayed in (seriously please email me where you source everything for that bed 😂). If we're ever in Madison again, this will be our spot!

5 stars. Seamless entry. Bedding comfy and nice linens and towels. Soaps etc were lovely. Room had all we needed to accommodate our usual needs and clean. It possessed a fun decor while resting at a great location. All the amenities we needed. Parking right Infront of our room made it easy to unload and reload. Town park and square right down the street which was aligned with antebellum homes. We will return to stay another night upon our return back. Super place don't think twice!!!

This feels like a blast from the past when motels were clean, comfortable, safe and affordable! Just a few minutes off the I20 this was the perfect half way point for our journey. Got an email with the check in info minutes after booking. The room was quiet, clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Great updates, modern convenience with mid century flair. Bed was so comfortable. Linens were very nice. The toiletries smell terrific too. Will be returning on my next trip.

Really neat renovation. Rooms were immaculate, although a little "old" smelling. Our room had air purifier to combat that. TVs only had Roku. Could not get local channels. A little frustrating. We wanted room closer to private suite, …

Clean and a good value! We stayed two nights to go to the Master’s championship. We already knew Madison is a pretty town and there are nice places to eat out. This little motel is fully renovated and while the rooms are tiny, we were comfortable and it’s all we needed, just slept there. They have self check in so that is efficient. We had friends in another room, and just so you know, there is nowhere to hang out together (no lobby, and there are no spare chairs in the little room). It was just right for what we needed.

Traveling thru the area on business and noticed this neat, vintage motel while passing thru Madison GA. Folks, if you are anywhere near the area, and need lodging, do yourselves a favor, book a room here! Old vibes with modern amenitites...my kind of place! The staff keeps it neat as a pin, both the rooms and the grounds. It is a fabulous remodel that brings modern touches that still honors its mid-century origins Plenty of self parking. I stayed in the classic queen room and it was awesome. WI-FI worked with no hiccups. Close to historical downtown Madison with all of it's charm and great restaurants. Y'all want to stay here!

Very comfortable, fun, throwback roadside motel updated to the "way it was" in the 50s. The motel is close to I-20, the town of Madison GA (you GOTTA see it and spend a day or two or three), attractions (Georgia Safari, great restaurants, anti-bellum homes, and more).
