Let’s start with the positives: the cabin was a fun set-up with a game room and all. And the property is gorgeous with an amazing mountainous leafy background. Everything else is pretty much a negative. First of all, this rental company is the worst to deal with I have ever experienced in my life. My friend booked through VRBO and we were meeting her family there to spend some fall time together. The first night, I’m sitting on the living room couch and I notice that my arm got bitten up but didn’t think much of it. The next morning, my friend’s daughter wakes up with bites all over her body and my friend found a live flea and killed it hoping that took care of it. But she checked periodically during the day and every single time she found live fleas. My husband took a cat nap on a different living room couch and woke up to a visible flea actively biting his ankle. To the point that we found live fleas in multiple rooms on multiple floors of the cabin and we immediately decided to book it out of there one day early than we were scheduled to. We packed up and left really quickly and my husband and I got home at 5:30 PM and did laundry until 1 AM washing every single thing: clothing, bags, and the next morning we hand-washed shoes just to make sure we didn’t bring the fleas back to the house. (And fun side note, the power went out as we were packing up. My husband tried the breaker to no avail and the whole street lost power and we heard generators throughout the neighborhood. From what we could tell there was no generator at this property. Which honestly I understand because a lot of user error can happen with novices using generators. But no power would have also meant we wouldn’t have been able to stay there that night because it was going to be 28 degrees and my friend has 3 kids that were there with us.) What proceeded next was the most intense gaslighting we have ever experienced. We both messaged the host about what happened asking for a refund for the final night (not even for the whole stay, just the final night since we did not stay there the final night). The company proceeds to tell us they’ve had “inspectors” in the house and that no fleas were found. And that the photo we sent of the sheets “could not have been our sheets, we compared it against our sheets.” I don’t know what to tell you except we 1000% told the truth and 1000% experienced a lot of fleas inside that cabin and got a lot of flea bites and those were 1000% their sheets. I also got blocked on VRBO by the company, lol. Neat, so fun! I know for a fact they’ll reply to this with the same stories they told us: “it was inspected!” “Those weren’t our sheets!” “We don’t do refunds!” “You are lying!” And hopefully you’ll get a taste of how insufferably rude they were throughout the whole process. VRBO didn’t help either. But, I will sleep peacefully at night knowing we 1000% told the truth. I wish I also still had that money in my pocket and the hours back washing everything that came in sight of the cabin and the extra day in the cabin that we paid for, but hey. At least I know we told the truth and there are fleas in that cabin. Good luck and godspeed to those staying with this company! Just don’t expect good customer service or any kind of help when things go awry.

Our stay at the cabins were outstanding. We stayed at the serenity ridge cabin was a pet friendly cabin so we were able to bring our fur baby. The views we amazing and the game room had plenty of options. If you are looking for a place to unwind, this is it.

We stayed at Owls Roost by Mountain Oasis Cabin rentals in March of 2025. The cabin was very cozy and clean. Stocked with all the basics you needed. Cell service for Verizon is excellent in the area so GPS has no issues getting you there. The only item they provided that was not working was the Keurig machine, I emailed them about this and got no response. The only major we had that we were not made aware of was construction going on across the street and on the street below (this is of March 2025) so on weekdays only there is construction noise starting promptly at 830 in the morning lasting to about 430 in the afternoon, making that morning coffee on the back deck less than enjoyable. I emailed about this and got a short response stating “they are not aware of construction on cabins they do not manage” however considering one of the cabins under construction is literally across the street of the Owls Roost it is hard to believe they do not know that is the case, so it would have been nice to know before we arrived to possibly change our cabin.

Spent 7 nights at 2 cabins on a recent trip. The first cabin was absolutely awful and had a number of issues, pictures on website misleading, HVAC not working on upper level, microwave mounted on an angle, not venting stove, grill not working. Very poorly equipped for cooking, dullest knives I've yet encountered, 2 pans, all with teflon actively flaking, minimal cooking accessories. The second cabin was much nicer, but still poorly equipped for cooking. Make sure you bring everything you need to cook to these cabins. They really need to raise their spec on what is available at these cabins. Last note, when I gave them the list and pictures of the faulty items at the first cabin, their response was thanks, we will see if we can get those fixed for our next guest. Didn't like that.

Great place to stay and cabin is very nice! The Owls Roost was perfect for the two of us and could have brought friends too! Nice hot tub and an abundance of deer all along the way to the cabin! Well furnished and very clean! My only complaint would be that it is pet friendly and our allergies could tell there had been animals in before us.

Review for Yogi’s Hideaway – Mountain Oasis Cabin Rentals ⭐ 1/5 I stayed at Yogi’s Hideaway with my family for 3 days, and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations — especially compared to a previous cabin I rented in Blue Ridge, which was excellent. Cleanliness was a major issue from the start. The cabin smelled strongly of a mix between urine and harsh vinegar-based cleaner. The couches were visibly stained and old, and the kitchen had ants all over the counters. The grill outside was unusable due to a roach infestation. The hot tub was dirty and clearly not maintained, and the showers had brown stains or rust, making them unpleasant and possibly unsafe to use. The kitchenware, including knives, was dirty — some even had hair or fuzz. We had to rewash everything before use. The water pressure throughout the cabin was extremely low, and the entire place felt poorly maintained. To make matters worse, I was charged an additional cleaning fee after the stay. We left the cabin in decent condition — dishes were done, and towels were left in the sink. It’s hard to justify a cleaning charge when the cabin wasn’t clean to begin with. The address was also an issue — GPS took us to the wrong location down the road, and there was no clearly marked address for the cabin itself. That’s a big problem when arriving in a remote area. I’ve used Mountain Oasis twice this month to host out-of-state family, but after this experience, I won’t be using or recommending them again. It’s clear that they’re either unaware of the conditions of their rental properties — or worse, don’t care. Staying with them feels like a crap shoot, and that’s not acceptable when you’re paying premium prices expecting comfort, cleanliness, and basic hospitality.

Bear-a-dise cabin is perfection. The owners have done an amazing job with the design and decor. We lacked for nothing during our stay. There are plenty of conveniences including: extra linens and blankets, cozy throws and pillows, extra detergents and trash bags, fire starter and cut wood, and the cutest little coffee station with syrups as well as ground coffee. The decor is adorable without being kitschy. The view of the back is beautiful. The game room kept the kids active and the bedrooms are perfect for little ones. We would love to stay again!

This is our second stay at the Summers Ridge cabin. First was in October 20 20. The cabin is beautiful, well appointed, and located, conveniently for the areas, small towns, vineyards, and orchards.

Mountain Oasis Cabin rentals offer easy check in and check out, however, our cabin had some disappointing features and wasn’t as advertised online. We won’t use this company again, we will go back to our trusted favorites like Escape to Blue Ridge, Mountain Top and Above the Rest cabin rental companies ~ they have always exceeded our expectations!

We stayed here last week at the hearth side hideaway cabin and had a lovely time. The cabin was clean and organized. There was more than enough room for us. The view was fantastic and a great location on a corner lot. It is close to Ellijay downtown and some hiking trails. We come back every year and would love to stay in the cabin again. We saw deer everyday right outside the windows and porch. The hot tube was clean and we loved the non-slip material. The cabin was easy to drive to. It is a community so you do have some traffic but it felt secluded.
