My family stayed at horseshoe trails, for my granddaughterβs birthday. The prices are ridiculous, nothing is up to date. We were informed that the hot tub will never be opened, the waterside and pool were closed. There were bugs in the sleeper sofa and kitchen. A used bandaid in the bedroom. Weβre trying desperately to get out of our membership, the main reason being, there are handicapped accessible cabins, my husband fell twice, getting up the stairs.

We love Mountain Lakes! We had a cabin adjoining to my sister and her family. It was great letting the kids run in between the cabins to play with each other! The pavilion was beautiful for the birthday party we attended. We have been to the pool over the summer several times. My boys love the water slide and putt putt! 10/10 recommend Mountain Lakes!

Just had my 60th birthday party at McKinley Pavilion! 100 people! Catered by Mike and his crew at the Diner on the property! It was perfect! Brenda, the Event Coordinator did all of the decorations and it was magical! I had most of our family staying in cabins. It was amazing! Perfect!!!

We spent the weekend here for a family members birthday and had the best time. They had a beautiful pavilion and fire pit where the party was held. Thereβs also a pool & a mini-golf course , perfect for kids! Highly recommend. π

This is the second time I've stayed at this place. It's really pretty being right next to the lake. However they make you pay resort fees on top of your rental. Most people aren't there to use the boats and to go to the clubhouse and swim. But You're made to pay for these passes. So you'll make time to use the amenities so you don't just waste your money. However being that you're me to pay for these passes. They need to have functioning paddle boats that don't get your butt all soaked. They had one that was operational but it kept filling up with water. The pool with the water slide closed early. Because they didn't have anyone over 18 to oversee it. I just think they need some upgrades in the rooms as well. Both bathroom doors just wouldn't shut right. So I think they need to spend some more money get some new paddle boats. Hire someone for the pools that are over 18. And give the cabins a little overhaul. I still would come back in the future.

Wonderful spot, rooms are nice and clean. Extremely simple layout. Quiet resort with plenty of activities for young kids. If you like to party and have fun this isn't the place, get something closer to the towns. This is a relaxing area, golf cart type resort. Everyone is friendly.

This place has gone downhill very quickly! The park is just trashy looking! Our family owned in here for years since the 80s and we just gave up our membership because of how badly things have gotten! Nothing is ever open, more problems than what they are worth.

Rooms are out dated. But for the price they worked. The lil ones loved the geese. They enjoyed the put put, were too small for the slide (thank God!) The beach was nasty and literally had leaches in it! ( Swim at own risk) I remember the day this was the place to go, guess it just saddened me. But my grandkids made memories with me and we had a blast so it was a great weekend!!! Enjoyed our stay and the memories!

Been a member for a couple years, Jacuzzi has been out of order the entire time. In their defense, they did say they've been trying to get an inspector out that entire time. Went to get a paddle boat to take the grandkids out, and was told there's only 1, we'd have to wait for it to be returned. You have a huge "resort", and only have ONE paddle boat...π. It's a beautiful location, and the people working the desk and front gate are always really nice and helpful. The little store, putt putt and waterslide are nice.
