Such a great and clean apartment complex! Love how close it is to five points and campus. Patricia is the best landlord I have ever had.

Well a bad review was written once from my family and she threatened to break my lease until I took it down. All the bad responses are incredibly accurate and the 5 star reviews are misleading and holding it up, one just being about parking for UGA games. I was called a liar on multiple occasions, accused of running Piedmont Hospitals out of my apt, and was harassed when having visitors to where they started street parking as to not be seen. Landlord admitted to watching me in the parking lot through the office window twice and questioned me about my behavior. There was a HUGE stain on my apt that looked like a crime scene. I could hear everything from my neighbors. I also would not report others because I knew that they would get yelled at. I also had a friend over and she got upset with him and told me not only should I not trust him (he was literally in my wedding) and that my (now wife) would rather me spend time with her. My friends would literally avoid her to where one was waiting on me and parked on campus down the street because he knew she would confront him while he was waiting or call the cops. This was after being threatened to be towed.

Great place to live and so convenient to campus. My fiancé lived here while I was in graduate school at UGA, and I spent a lot of time at his apt. Fast forward 30 years later, and my son lived here as a UGA undergraduate student. The owner is very strict, but she keeps the place well maintained and quiet. The apts are definitely not preferable for those who like to party, but are a great option for serious students on a budget, who enjoy the convenience of living close to campus.

Mi Casa is a great place to live based on my experience there. Mrs. Bernstein and the staff were prompt about fixing any maintenance orders. It was quiet for studying and was about a 25 minute walk to downtown Athens. I walked to all of my classes, but there were nearby bus stops in case it rained. I never felt unsafe while living there, and I lived alone as a college-aged female. I would say this spot is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, comfortable place to live that is within walking distance to campus. However, if you are wanting a place where you can party, I would avoid these apartments as there are several rules, and the staff will make sure you follow them.

I am actually traumatized from my experience living here for 2 years. If you've read other reviews and thought they were being dramatic, I can guarantee you they are accurate. The landlord is verbally abusive, finds the tiniest indiscretions or makes them up to blame, guilt, and harass you. Like other tenants, I am quiet, tidy, and always on time with rent... but Mrs. Bernstein gaslit me so constantly I started to doubt if I really was a terrible tenant (and person!), troublemaker, etc... She once screamed at me on the phone that I was "her only tenant who can't get it through her head to follow the rules" ... because I had a pumpkin outside my door during halloween which was apparently a fire hazard... which I promptly removed when asked. She is a MENACE. Everything is weirdly personal with her. She screamed at me another time that I was "disrespectful of her" and that would not be tolerated. Woman... you are not my mother?? I do not owe you respect. Parking is a nightmare (have to register the license plate of ANYONE who comes to visit, literally even for 20 minutes or she will bombard you), there are roaches everywhere, the walls are paper-thin, and (I cannot stress this enough) the landlord is actually insane. What should have been a nice (albeit it old) apartment close to campus was a waking nightmare. My friends and I still can't believe how crazy my experience of living there was, and I would not wish it on my worst enemy.

I would give this place a big ZERO if it was an option. UGA student and young professionals, stay away from this apartment at all costs!! I lived there and it was the worst rental experience of my life. 1. Extremely loud and no privacy: The walls are extremely thin. You will be forced to hear every move of your neighbors from the above, below, and next door, making it impossible to get any peace and quiet. 2. The apartment is old and poorly maintained: Constant issues in the bathroom, which the landlord would blame on you even if you just moved in. 3. The WORST part is the landlord: Like other reviews said, the landlord was absolutely impossible to deal with. As an easy tenant who always pays rent on time and takes good care of the property, I still found myself constantly bombarded with calls from the landlord, making the experience unbearable. Save yourself the trouble and find a landlord who actually cares about their tenants!!!

My fiancé & I have lived at Mi Casa Apartments for the past 3 years & we have loved it since we’ve been here. Definitely recommend it for those who are looking for a quiet place to live that’s also within a walking distance to campus/downtown. The maintenance staff is quick with repairs & the front office has always been very helpful. Highly recommend!!

Stay away from this place at all costs unless you enjoy extremely thin walls and an unreasonable landlord!! Please search "Garrett Properties" to find the REAL and HONEST Google reviews. Mi casa = Garrett Properties. DO NOT be fooled by the positive reviews of this new Google location they just created. I won't recommend this apartment to any UGA student (especially if you are international students or people who need quiet space). They will try to take advantage of students. You won't want to waste your precious school time dealing with the crazy landlord. Check real reviews and go somewhere else!

My son lives there while he attends UGA... Quite ,safe place to live... It is not party central!!!!! Everything he needs , he bikes to all his classes ,they' are literally right down the street from his apt.... restaurant close by, walking or biking distance, the only time he has to drive is to his job....very pleased with Mi Casa and it management....

I won’t recommend Mi Casa even to my worst enemy. Living this close to campus is not worth associating with this crazy landlord! We moved out after 10 months living here and have never been this much happy about our decision in our entire life!!!
