A very beautiful park. There is a walking trail that is paved. It goes around the entire lake. We came at the end of summer and there were 30+ turtles we saw. There are a few covered pavilions and picnic tables around. The dog park available. Right next to bear hollow zoo and a playground. Has picnic shelters that are covered.

This is my favorite park in the area. It’s in a neighborhood and has quite a bit of wooded area for a city park. There’s a zoo nearby for animals that can’t be released into the wild. There’s a pool and basketball court. Lots of turtles reside in the lake. It’s a bonus when you spot the Great Blue Heron. The walk around the walk is less than a 1000 steps. The playground is nice and clean. They have restrooms nearby. There are quite a few pavilions that you can rent out for parties and birthdays. This is family friendly park. The dog park is nice but I had to leave the last couple of times because of problematic dogs. I’m so glad this is available right in the middle of Athens!!!

It was my first time going to this park and have to say it was pretty nice it wasn't crowded it was clean. I didn't get to explore the entire park but we did go to the zoo area and I would highly recommend it. Especially if you want to get the kids out of the house and you're on a tight budget.

Memorial Park is mostly a lake with a sidewalk around it. You will see ducks and turtles there. There is a dog park, playground (closed during covid 19), Bear Hollow zoo, and Birchmore Trail ( to the right of the zoo entrance). Doing all of these things kept my kids busy for a morning. We especially love the zoo and trail.

I love memorial park. It has a nice walking track, a play ground area for kids, and two shelters for gatherings. They are currently doing construction, and creating a dog park.

Really beautiful. I so love visting a nice lake park. Wished I lived closer, once my teenager graduates high school. The Oshun in me will move closer to a lake park. I could sit here all day meditating by the water, feeling and connecting with the water spirits. The children loved it ❤

Nice park for quiet meditative walks and feeding the geese and turtles - lots of turtles from really small to 2 1/2 foot long snapping turtles. Next to the zoo and it has a nice enclosed fenced in wooded dog run area. Some benches but not a lot of flowering plants. More left to natural growth. Fully wheelchair accessible.

I love Memorial Park! There's plenty of seating in case you get tired walking around. Also, there's feed dispensers that provide food so you can feed the wildlife. The dispenser cost 25 cents.
