The atmosphere is beautiful. The food presentation is spot on . Unfortunately, the foods flavor is a little lacking. The sea food is good but I was not impressed. Coming from Maine where seafood is top-notch. I guess I'm a bit spoiled.

Read all the great reviews and decided we would come here when we were visiting our son in Athens - a Sunday. Love the building, love the atmosphere, service was spot on. Parking is tight. The food was OK. Definitely hit and miss. The hush puppies are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. But the fried green tomatoes are really really thick and when you bite into them, it’s like biting into a really hard, uncooked unpleasant thing. The coleslaw tasted weird. The oysters were delicious, don’t bother with the crawdaddy hash because it’s all potatoes with a few oversalted tiny almost bitter tasting crawfish thrown in and as the photo here shows, the onions and peppers weren’t even cooked. Not even a hint of hitting a pan.Neither were the mushrooms, but I ended up eating those. The poached egg was perfect. My husband loved his burger and he’s very picky about his burgers, so that’s something. My son liked but not loved the black beans and rice and also the red mule grits were quite good. Our server apologized and said it was shift change, but shift change shouldn’t equate to careless or bad cooking. Ever. Won’t be back. 😔

What a find for us out of town-ers! Tucked away on a corner resembling a typical neighborhood home with relaxed seating throughout the property. Highly suggest going off peak times to enjoy the trifecta of delicious food, ambience and personalized service from the staff.

Great atmosphere! Right in the heart of five points in Athens, Ga. The waitstaff staff was very attentive, and the drinks and food was delicious! The seafood took me back to Gulf Shores. I was only missing the bushwacker!

Everything was great! My brother and I went to brunch for Mother's Day (our mom passed two years ago). We wanted to try almost everything so we had the buffalo shrimp, coconut shrimp, breakfast burger, breakfast burrito and the pecan fudge pie (I believe that's what it's called). We also had the $4 mimosas. The atmosphere was great, our waiter, I wish I could remember his name, was awesome. Will definitely return!

The hostess was so professional and gave us a wait time of 1 hr 15 minutes. The bartender was great and we only waited 30-45 minutes which is a sign of a great hostess. Jackson was our server and he was the best. Gave great recommendations even if he didn’t give me the check.

The atmosphere is totally casual and laid-back. The food came out at a moderate to slow pace. However, the background music and the environment was great for conversation and relaxing while we waited. Outdoor seating is available. Clean restrooms. The ingredients appeared to be very fresh and the food was very tasty. The outdoor sitting area has fans for the summer and heat lamps for the winter.

I ordered the special at the time which was a sea bass in a buttery sauce. It was fantastic. The hush puppies were delicious. Not too dry like they can be sometimes at other places. The server was personable. We sat outside so the flies enjoyed the smell of our food too lol but it was a very satisfying meal. I would recommend 👌

I come to Athens once a year and finally got to go to this recommended restaurant. The food was good. I highly recommend the fried shrimp. Josh K was an excellent server.
