My son has been with LSSM for 18 months now and "WOW" has he improved! We love Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music (LSSM)! I had taught my son the basics of piano but after years of me procrastinating to find an outside teacher, I finally Googled music schools near me and found a handful of places. The problem was that all the schools really close to home did not have the daytime classes we needed. Even though LSSM wasn't as close as I had hoped, they did have the days and times I needed available. (Side note: They even had classes for special needs and I thought that was wonderful!) We drive by many other schools to come here and it's 100% worth the drive! Their prices were the same as the other schools I had looked into, but they had a lot more class time availability, and anytime I need to call, if someone doesn't answer right away, I receive a call back very soon after. They also keep me informed of everything going on at the school and have many performance opportunities, including Spring and Winter recitals, as well as performances at Carnegie Hall, the Fox Theatre and Graceland! My son is 11 and I'm so happy that he LOVES playing the piano, he loves his teacher, Mr. Hanson, and he loves the staff! He is challenged just enough in his lesson, but not too much that he gets burnt out and he looks forward to his lessons every week. We're also loving their new, huge location in Collins Hill! It's no wonder LSSM is the "Best of Gwinnett" for 8 years in a row now! We don't feel like just another student/family that takes classes here... We feel like we are a part of the LSSM family.

I recommend LSSM for everyone ages 4 - 104. If you have a love for and are curious about where you could possibly place yourself or your love ones, within the arts/music genre, allow the talented caring staff of LSSM help cultivate what’s already within you. The talented and gifted owner Valencia Giles and Mr. Giles continue to provide experiences with planned events throughout the completion of lessons that boost students confidence and enrich there lives as well as others. I am happy to be apart of this wonderful school that put their students first. I like that the teachers encourage the students to practice and work hard in their lessons with positive rewards. The incentive programs like earning "funny" money for practicing at home, bringing books to lesson's and paying attention the the teacher's instruction makes learning to play an instrument fun! I would recommend this school to children and adults.

We love our LSSM family! Both of our girls are students here. Kylie at the front desk has gone above and beyond to make sure we had the teachers and times that worked for us. Ms. Sara Beth and Ms. Sara Jean worked with our girls for their first duet and now Mr. Stephen is helping them compose their first piece. Ms. Shadiyah has been so wonderful in choosing theatrical pieces for our daughters vocal performances.

My child has attended LSSM for four years. The teachers are fantastic! They are knowledgeable but also make the lessons fun. The receptionists are so nice and helpful too. They make you feel welcome. I highly recommend the school to everyone!!

This music school is absolutley outstanding. Both my children have taken lessons here and we could not be happier. We drive 45 minutes to get here for lessons and it is well worth it. Our piano teacher is Mr. Bice and he has been the perfect combination of challenging and patient. My son is on the spectrum and Mr. Bice has a way of making him feel heard and yet is able to keep him on task and inspired to do his best. All of the staff here are wonderful as well…kind to the children, communicative and helpful to parents. We really love it here!
