Lived at Brighton Point for 18 months. Great, quiet neighborhood. Neighbors are friendly, but mind their own business. Apartments are nice, especially at this price point. Management company is GREAT to work with. Only had one issue the entire time I lived there (the refrigerator broke), and they had it replaced within 2 hours. They’re local, they’re friendly, and it was a pleasure living there!

Lane Properties has some of the cleanest and well cared for rentals in Athens. And for the best rates. Staff is kind and responsive to your requests. Family owned and locally managed which is a refreshing change to all the other properties in Athens that have management out of state. Can’t recommend them enough.

Brighton Park is one of the best-kept secrets in Athens. I have lived in the same apartment for 15 years now, and honestly, I can’t imagine that any other apartment complex in this area could have kept me satisfied for this long. The apartments I have seen are a very reasonable size, especially for the price. (Their website has floorplans listed so you can see which one best suits your needs.) Everything in my apartment was in good working order when I arrived. As with any home or apartment, sometimes things break or wear down (hinges on cabinets, the A/C, toilet, blinds). Over the years, I have put in numerous maintenance requests. One of the reasons I have stayed at Brighton Park so long is that problems are addressed pretty much immediately. I have never been made to feel bad for requesting that something be fixed or replaced, because the family that owns and manages the complex wants it to stay in good shape. Of the apartments on the East side of Athens, Brighton Park is definitely the least “party scene-ish.” Lots of graduate students live here because it’s a nice, generally quiet place to live. There have been occasions when residents have had trouble abiding by general “community living” expectations (for instance, playing loud music a bit too late on weeknights or behaving obnoxiously/having drama outside where all can “enjoy”). That is another main reason I love living here. The owners do not tolerate this type of ridiculous behavior. Residents who cannot manage to act civilized are warned, and subsequent issues can lead to them being asked to leave the community. The owners want BP to be a “grown-up” place where residents feel safe and respected. If you are someone who has problems following reasonable community expectations, BP is not the place for you. The Brighton Park grounds are very well kept up. The grass never gets unruly, and hedges are trimmed regularly. There are three trash dumpsters throughout the complex where garbage can be deposited, as well as one recycling dumpster (which some residents treat as a trash dumpster, sadly). Pest control comes regularly. In my time here, I have only have an issue with pests once. All it took was me telling the office staff, and boom, it was dealt with very quickly. There are a lot of things I like about Brighton Park, but probably my favorite is the office staff. As I said, I have lived here for 15 years now. In all that time, I have never – not once – had a bad experience with the office staff. They are super friendly and have always treated me well and quickly acted on reasonable requests I have made (I can be a little “extra” sometimes). Ashley has been working at the office the entire time I have resided here, and she has always been beyond amazing. She has even reached out to me before, unsolicitedly, to see if there is anything that needing fixing or updating in my apartment. I have never heard of another apartment office manager doing that! I have seen some reviews mentioning office staff being discourteous. Honestly, I cannot imagine the office staff being rude to anyone who follows the community rules, pays their rent on time, and treats them with respect. (If you can’t do those things, well, you probably get what you deserve.) Overall, I would absolutely recommend Brighton Park to anyone who wants a calm, clean, nice place to live on the East side on Athens. Well, anyone who is able to act like they have some sense. Ne’er-do-wells and obnoxious, drama-filled folks need not apply.

I’ve lived her over 3 years and the Lanes are the best to rent from. The homes are clean, nice. The neighborhood is safe. Anytime I have a maintenance issue which is rare; their right on it. There’s a reason when people move in, they stay many years

They were closed on the day I went to return my keys. Silly me I didn't check the hours. I was able to slip them in the mail slot so I wouldn't have to make another trip to return them. The apartments this company manages were nice, clean, didn't have any issues the entire year I rented from them. When I needed maintenance they came and fixed things promptly.

Great landlords. They always fix my problems either the same day or next business days. Since I’ve lived in their apartments for several years now, we’ve had different issues come up with the HVAC, but haven’t ever had to suffer for long. The staff is very friendly, and I would recommend anyone to do business with them.

I have to give them one star only because one cannot leave a review with less stars. The lady answering the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me when I told her I was surprised they didn't have an email to exchange information as they only do fax. That tells a lot about the customer service and quality of the interactions you will have with them. Stay away!!!

Extremely rude. Gave me several contradictory statements regarding the requirements for renting. Claimed I didn't make enough money to live there even though I know people who live there that make less than me. Even when I offered to pay the full year lease up front they made up some other excuse as to why I couldn't live there.
