We stayed at The James Madison Inn on September 20th while in town for a wedding, and it was exceptional from start to finish. Check-in was quick and welcoming, and every staff member we met was warm, professional, and eager to help. Our room was spotless, beautifully appointed, and incredibly comfortable—exactly what we needed during a busy wedding weekend. The hotel’s location made everything easy, with simple access to our wedding events and local dining. Little touches—quiet halls, plush linens, and a peaceful night’s sleep—made a big difference. We also appreciated the inviting lobby and the overall charm of the property; it feels boutique and special without sacrificing convenience. Breakfast was fresh and well-stocked, and parking was a breeze. Most importantly, the team was attentive to our timeline and made the whole experience stress-free. We were in town for a wedding and stayed at The James Madison Inn. The location was perfect and central to everything! The rooms were some of the nicest we've ever seen. Beautiful furnishings and very spacious. The hotel staff was also lovely, and very helpful. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice, non-corporate, chain hotel. We hope to return for another visit in the future.

We hosted our guests for our kids wedding at the James Madison Inn and it was awesome!!! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, the staff is so attentive and simply amazing. Located in the heart of Madison, it was the perfect spot to explore this charming town and all the great restaurants and shops. Huge kudos to Barbara and her team at the James Madison Inn!!!

This is a beautiful building inside. The lobby has crystal cut windows and a nice sitting area. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The downstairs breakfast room is comfortable and has a home feeling. The rooms are spacious, clean, and SMELL good! The floors and carpets are very clean, unlike regular hotels (which leave sock bottoms dirty gray). I liked the books in each room which had the history of the town. Great idea! The room had a fireplace and comfortable chairs. Very relaxing. A nice park is across the street, restaurants are an easy walk away. This Inn has blown away the other Inns where I've previously stayed. (I gave service 4 stars only because the maids didn't empty the trash or remake the bed. They did resupply clean towels.)

We did our daughter’s wedding at Variety Works and stayed at the Inn. The weekend was just perfect, In. Was like being in an old Southern Home beautiful inside and out. The staff was professional and friendly. Breakfast was delicious (the biscuits were like what my Husband’s grandmother made from scratch). 10/10 would stay here again.

What a fabulous stay my daughters and I had at James Madison Inn. We enjoyed the Bonar Suite for the two nights we stayed to attend a family wedding. The accommodations were clean and nicely appointed. Mattresses were comfortable and the shower huge with good water pressure, plentiful towels, and housekeeping was quick to respond to a few requests. We highly recommend the location too. Pleasant walking and lovely well kept homes and shops were a pleasure to enjoy. We recommend highly.
