We (4 persons) had a very disappointing experience at Hyatt Rooftop in Athens. We arrived a bit before 9 p.m., ordered at the bar (number 24) and were told it would take around 20 minutes. After 30 minutes we started asking the waiters how much longer it would be — and after more than an hour and a half, the food still hadn’t arrived, while others who came later were already eating. We spoke with several waitresses and even the manager, but nothing happened. When we finally went to the bar to ask for a refund and leave, a waiter suddenly appeared with our food , insisting to take it, saying it was now “free.” We refused — it was too late. We understand it was game day and the kitchen might have been overloaded — but it would have been fair to let customers know from the start, not as an excuse at the end. Unfortunately, a nice view can’t make up for such poor service and lack of communication.

I haven’t been to HyBar in so long, and I went in tonight and had a great time. The service was exceptional especially from Kate. She was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure me and my friends had a great time. I will be coming back soon, and I hope Kate. is working! 🙌🏼 …

I ate here with my friend to celebrate a special achievement I had. I was really excited, I heard the views were great. They told us we had to pick up our $20 entrees from the downstairs bar (when sitting on the roof ) and then we waited 20 minutes without seats, drinks, etc in the downstairs lobby. The lady from the kitchen came out asking what our order was (while smacking/eating) and yelled it back for them to start making once we were standing there. I have been waitressing and bartending for 6+ years. I have lot of empathy and understanding when it comes to restaurant operations but this is completely unacceptable. Staff is just sitting on their phone while we are going up and down elevators to food run overpriced food WE are paying for.

Came here for the first time for my birthday I sat at the bar. A guy came up and took my order yes he had on a tag, I just clearly did not look at his tag. I was ignored by over 4 bar tenders who were already at the bar, the guy came from the back........... My card was charged 2 times when I told him I wanted to keep an open tab not pay!!!! I was charged twice!!!! Not all right!!!!! They all laughed FOOD IS so delightful 😊

I love a rooftop. Which is the reason to go here. It’s a pretty outdoor venue and centrally located. Otherwise…meh. The drinks were typical hotel pricing ($15 for a very weak dark and stormy in a plastic tumbler). They had a $5 cover charge…Although it seemed like everyone there was buying food and drinks, so I’m not sure what the cover was for.

The views of downtown are unbeatable. Prime location. The drink list could be better but it isn't insufficient. Didn't try the food on this visit but would definitely give it a shot. We would absolutely come again for the atmosphere alone. Bet it is an absolute riot on a game weekend. Give it a chance for the view alone.

Elevator was broken, wine was horrible....they ran out of things and just substituted without asking...worst mac and cheese EVER!! Andyook 45 minutes for 3 sandwiches 😡🤦♀️😫

Made us go downstairs and across the parking deck to grab our food. Kind of ridiculous considering there are 3 people working upstairs and we are the only people there. Won’t ever order food here again.

Only been once but was a nice time. The bar is on top of a hotel. Great views and a decent selection of drinks.

When I ordered the old fashioned, I imagined drinking in a leather chair and smoking cigars. When I got this old fashioned, I felt like sitting in a plastic chair with no back and chewing my dip. But kudos to my bartender for making a second one that tasted slightly better. 4/5 for service and 2/5 for the drinks.
