We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place Athens, in GA for a wedding. Room was comfortable, laid out like a suite. Excellent proximity to downtown Athens and the campus. Breakfast had a nice variety, including eggs/sausage, fruit, chobani yogurt, cereal. Our favorite breakfast of the trip. The rooftop bar is definitely a destination ‘scene’ for college crowd going for an upscale feel. Would certainly stay here again.

This hotel location is excellent. It's an easy walk to downtown Athens. The room -- including the bathroom -- was spacious and comfortable. The rooftop bar was great with awesome views. It's incredibly convenient for a show at Atkins Ford …

In town for the weekend and it was a great home base. Rooftop bar was exceptional. Breakfast was even better, I do not think I have seen a better option in any other hotel anywhere. The elevators were slow but assumed one was down for the weekend. Will definitely stay there again.

It's a great hotel and a great location, the views out of the rooms are amazing. They also have a rooftop bar which is an incredible venue to see the landscape. Their breakfast is also a very nice buffet. My only complaint is the elevators. They seem exceptionally slow somehow. Found I was always standing around waiting for an elevator. Otherwise it's a great spot, highly recommended

Excellent hotel, great staff. Parking garage situation is a bit confusing but clarified by front desk when you go check in ($14/day on standard days gets added to your room bill, so don't take a ticket from the machine to pay). The elevators are slow and pretty hot in the summer, and the one where you have to scan your room card is confusing at first. All that said, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The rooms are very nice. My stay was in June during a heat wave, and the A/C worked perfectly and kept it comfortable (I've stayed at other hotels that were humid indoors). Breakfast is fantastic; I just wish they had their fluffy biscuits every day because they are so good! Note: there is no bathtub in the standard queen room (standing shower only) and no way to plug the sink, so hand-washing a few clothes was a little trickier.

Beautiful hotel, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are nice size- plenty of counter space for make-up and toiletries. The best hotel breakfast around! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Easy walk to restaurants and shops- great location. Favorite place to stay in Athens!

This is our go to for Athens. The breakfast buffet is top notch, and the HyBar is a great place to unwind and take in the city. Staff is professional filled with southern hospitality. Rooms are always clean and comfortable!

This place is amazing! The breakfast was over the top along with it being free, the front desk got me in my room super quick with a smile and positive attitude, the rooms was spacious and very clean, the location was perfect right in downtown to where I could walk to everything and shop. They have a hybar on the rooftop that was beyond beautiful when the sun set. I will definitely be back. Really enjoyed my stay. Thank y'all so much.

I dropped my child off to UGA on July 8 for a summer program was too tired to drive home and decided to stay overnight. Booked a room to find a small bug crawling on the bed and the key access was faulty. Went to front desk to inform attendant who informed me that he would pass it on to his manager Amanda. She stated that a refund would be issued within 30 days. I called her 1 additional time and I still have not been refunded. Beware of this hotel. Not clean not safe.
