Close to everything! Rooms are so comfy and decorated different than your standard on brand hotel, which I enjoy the look. Beds are clean and comfy. Shower has the best shampoo body wash and conditioner I’ve ever smelled and such great water pressure. The ac cools the room to my liking, I’m going through the change so I’m hot all the time, but not here! Staff is amazing and works with you. I can’t say one bad thing about this place. If we ever come back this will be the place to go. Don’t let that price fool you, this is comfy and safe.

Great hotel. Great location. CLEAN rooms with fun decorations. Nice large TV. Extra sink outside the bathroom (great fit getting ready in the morning). The best amenity however is the FREE bicycle access!! 5-6 bikes with 5 speed shifters and bike locks for you to explore the city! So cool. We were able to see everything we wanted (R.E.M. sightseeing trip) in a day because of this and so much more fun than driving and parking and walking over and over. Got the best rate, for a Thursday night in early Oct, by booking directly through the hotel website only 2 weeks in advance ($110/nt)!

This place doesn’t deserve all of the poor reviews. I agree they absolutely shouldn’t advertise as a 4 star hotel, as it’s aging a little bit and is clearly a refurbished motel, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience after reading the reviews. The rooms are good, nice TVs with plenty of channels, clean beds that are perfectly average comfort, and the bathroom is nice! The area it’s in is perfect proximity to downtown, plus they have a bar on site with live music. The music was good and the drinks were priced well. Yes they do charge for parking, but who cares, it’s still the cheapest hotel in downtown and is absolutely worth the money.

The room was clean and bed was fairly comfortable. Not nearly enough light from the tiny window. The retro/shabby chic decor is literally pretty over. If you love that decor rest assured you’ll feel like your room was decorated from a flea market. We only found a couple of outlets that worked because they were loose and one usb outlet that did work. The room looked nothing like the online site. My husband went to desk to buy bottled water and the young lady couldn’t find any so she spoke to a manager who said “those are all the way in the back” so no water except the 2 tiny bottles in our fridge. We packed and left Saturday even though our reservation was through Sunday at over $1,000/per night. Way overpriced and underserved.

We stayed here 10 years ago for our youngest son and future daughter in laws wedding. We also did the rehearsal dinner there. They did a great job. But things have changed for the worse. The floor in our room was so filthy it turned our socks black. The bathroom door was hard to shut and harder to open. The air conditioner early Saturday morning started to smoke and set off our smoke alarm. The window frames in the main building are rotting and falling off. It is very apparent maintenance is not being done at this facility. It was a football weekend and the rooms were very expensive. We will NOT be back!

We traveled to Athens for a football game and were a little hesitant to stay here based on the number of recent bad reviews. I will attest that we had a great stay. The staff was superb. There are lots of amenities onsite including a coffee bar and a lounge that had live music on a Friday night. The location is close to downtown Athens and only about a mile from Sanford Stadium. Be advised, it's a hilly mile. We had a King Suite which was spacious and clean. The room did have a bit of a musty smell when we first walked in,but it seemed to go away.

We were just given towels from the staff to sop up the puddle on our floor (about the size of a suitcase) from the air conditioning window unit because there was “nothing to be done about it” and “all the rooms leak.” They said they tilt the ACs so the condensation drips into the rooms instead of out. The photos make the rooms appear more quaint than they are. The positives are the room is clean, the common area was pretty, and the bar staff was nice and efficient.

Location has great proximity to downtown Athens. The property is motor court layout and in a safe area with car access to Downton - don't recommend driving. We were first hit with a $12 additional fee to park at the property - nothing stated on the website about parking extra. The room was underwhelming for $250+/night. The door weather stripping was falling off, the room was damp and musty, the lighting was not sufficient, the refrigerator was hot, the a/c shut off in the middle of the night and I had to reset it to control the moisture. Overall nothing better than a Motel 8 layout with a GA bulldog lamp to make it stand out. We stayed many times when it was the Graduate with our two kids, and loved staying there. Now I would look elsewhere unless you want to be underwhelmed. Gave it one star for the room. Did not rate service as we did not interact with any staff expect for check-in.

I unfortunately had to stay here for a conference and will not be returning. The exterior rooms are in a busy, transient area, which did not feel safe, especially as a female traveler. Parking is an additional charge. The rooms were dirty and very outdated, the bed was uncomfortable, and the towels and linens were worn and tattered. A random baby bottle full of spoiled milk was left outside my door for the entire three-night stay, and the grounds are clearly not well-maintained. The only pro I found was it was an easy walking distance to the Classic Center. If you have a choice, I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

The location is good. Also, the vintage decor is intriguing.
