What a gem in GA. One of the only covered bridge in GA it's worth the trip. Either walking or driving over the bridge you will love the experience. Great place for a picnic, day hike or just relax by the water. There are picnic tables available, camping on the wkend or canoe on a warm summer days.

We decided to hike one of trails and had a fun morning. My wife and I are both 60 and it’s a fairly easy hike. 2.5 miles and it took about 90 minutes. There’s one slight hill and lots of benches to sit and take a break if needed. After our hike we met up with one of the Park employees, Cole, and he gave us a history lesson about the bridge and other information about the park. It’s a great way to spend a day and I would recommend it to most folks.

Beautiful historic one lane bridge. They have covered pavilions with tables, a playground, a gift shop and restrooms are located on the outside of the gift shop on the porch for easy access. We didn't inquire about them, but there were kayaks under shelter, possibly for rent.

Friendly staff at the Visitor Center. There's a trail that runs beside the river, that runs under the bridge. There are several trees that are down, but all back in the woods off the trail, or removed from the trail. The 2.5 mile trail was moderate. It is VERY well marked and we'll maintained!

there is no sewer hook up but everything else about this Park is absolutely fantastic. It's dark. It's quiet you're surrounded by trees that people are very kind. The covered bridge is a very interesting focal point for the park.

Beautiful river spot to play on the rocks. Do beware of snakes we saw 2 venomous ones on our trip but just walked around them. Our dog and kids enjoyed the cool river water.

Gorgeous spot to spend an afternoon, and the drive through the surrounding areas is lovely as well! Plenty of picnic tables and some pavilion space. Many wide flat, rocky areas on the river to set up for a few hours of leisure, picnicking, splashing in the shallows, etc. Abundant endemic flora and fauna to spot— we saw tadpoles, butterflies, bees, buttonbush, tiny juvenile frogs, and even a friendly banded water snake. We’ll be back!

Watson Mill Bridge State Park is a hidden gem with well-maintained trails that range from easy to moderate; perfect for a relaxed hike. The covered bridge is stunning and makes for great photos. There are shaded picnic areas with grills, which made it ideal for our family outing. Highly recommend for a scenic day trip or quiet outdoor escape. Be sure to bring all necessities (water, food, and other essentials) as the on-site store has limited supplies and there are no nearby stores.

Watson Mill Bridge State Park is a gem on a hot summer day. The dam overflow and shallow pools make for a great place to get soaked or just cool your feet. There are plenty of shade trees and picnic tables to eat lunch at. There are also a few short trails along the river for a scenic walk.
