The host and hostess Brady and Liz are the most accommodating, sweet, heartfelt, free people. We met them for the 1st time in October 2025. Together they have created a very magical, rustic, quiet place for people to enjoy. It's very close to Helen, GA and Octoberfest activities. The terrain is mountainous, hilly and wooded. Their cabins are rustic and most of the wood furniture and decor within these cabins were handmade by Brady and Liz. I think they are a skillful and talented couple who have done a wonderful job! It was a pleasure to have met them! We will see them again soon! Luv u guys!

We’re total newbie campers and this place blew us away from the start! Liz and Brady were amazing, they helped us get backed into our spot and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. You can really tell they’ve put their heart into this place. The campground is so peaceful, with beautiful trails and a little pond you can hike to. There’s even a super cool “Creation Station” where you can make your own art pieces , such a cute touch! We stayed in our Airstream and loved having our own little fire pit area, plus access to an outdoor shower and outhouse. The general store on the honor system was such a charming addition , it really adds to the small-town, community vibe of the place. We also toured some of the cabins, and wow — they are SO cool. Liz and Brady have hand-crafted much of the furniture and woodwork themselves, giving each cabin its own cozy and artistic personality. It’s also just a quick 5-minute drive into downtown Helen! We left with full hearts and can’t wait to come back for more peaceful moments and great memories.

RV camping review: Be aware that there are no flushing toilets in this campground. There are port-a-potties and an outhouse. The bathhouse is not bad and looked clean but to get to it you have to walk down a very steep hill. We were placed at the end site close to a fairly busy road and asked to move further back but were told it would be an extra $10/night for the campsite right next to it which did not seem like much of an upgrade so we stayed put. The campground is close to town so that was a plus. The hosts put a lot of effort into rustic charm with lots of homemade signs and lights everywhere.

Read the word RUSTIC. Don't be disappointed when you get there and there is an outhouse. Realistic expectations will have you falling in love with this simple campground. Some reviews say it's too tight for big rigs. Don't believe this! We are a 30 ft motorhome and we were a little nervous, until we saw the 45 ft rig parked at the top of the hill. Trust in yourself! We were first met by Brady and later by Liz. Both were attentive and helpful and just the perfect hosts. The art making station, honor system "store", and fairy lights and cute garden decorations are just so comforting. We came here simply because we needed a place close enough to Helen, GA to be able to ride bikes because we do not tow a vehicle. Now that we have been here we will also consider this campground a "destination". Come for a week, you might stay for a lifetime! Oh, and we had no problem riding bikes down into town. It was a little difficult getting back up the hill (haha), and I wouldn't do it at night. But it really was no problem.

I love this place! The care that’s taken and hospitality that is shown is truly magical. Nestled far enough away to create a true camping experience, yet close enough to town to enjoy tourist attractions and handmade fudge in Helen. In the morning you can hear the church bells chime and it’s really special. There’s firewood onsite that has been well seasoned and dried so it burns wonderfully and the thoughtful highlights of a “creation station” filled with whimsical found objects and twinkling fairy lights really add the the over all magic this place has to offer. For tent campers, they offer a shower house and multiple bathrooms, the tv lots are a good size, and the cabins are adorable. Oh… and there’s WiFi! 10/10. Plan on camping here every time you’re looking for a place to stay close to Helen!

Absolutely wonderful campground. Liz and Brady were amazing hosts. There are so many things to do at the campground. There is an awesome art area where you or your kids can create some wonderful things. Brady has created several art pieces from wood that are beautifully done. There is a pond on the property that you can hike down to. It is down the hill near the tent camping. There are also really cute cabins on the property either different themes. Very clean and well maintained. There are bathrooms and a bathhouse as well. You are 4 minutes by car from downtown. We rented a golf cart in town and it was only a 10 minute ride in that. I highly recommend and we will be back!

We stopped in without a reservation and were welcomed by the owners. They were very accommodating and have a really peaceful place and very unique. The shower house is rustic in design but super cool! Very helpful about things to do in town. The town of Helen is charming. I’m sure we will be back.

This place was fantastic as far as getting in and making a reservation short notice. The facilities were amazing. The hot water in the showers couldn’t have been better! This place is a wonderful place to be especially when it’s not busy season. We stayed here with our dogs and baby and had a fantastic time. Only thing that I would mention is that they don’t come out to make a personal welcoming as far as checking in with somebody and delegate the responsibilities of the campsite and clean up through an app and text . We’ve stayed in multiple state parks and lived there as volunteers , so in our mind when we leave a campsite, we leave it adequately cleaned up. A lot of the benches and porch furniture around the pond seem to be sporadic and communal. We did not know that we would receive a final request to put things back where they were when this place is not too busy. I could see with strenuous amount of guest. this would be an issue, but receiving a text after is kind of inconvenient and makes us think like we weren’t good guests to the park when we did stay. Overall, the experience was nice. It was convenient close to town and the facilities were fantastic and the pond was amazing but I just think for not greeting your guest personally they’re requiring too much responsibility when you clean up and leave.

Everything about our stay was fantastic! We took our camper, but we did tour a couple of the cabins and they are beautiful! The location is perfect! It’s about a mile from downtown Helen, but it’s so quiet and peaceful you feel like you’re miles away from everything. Liz is absolutely wonderful! SO friendly and helpful! The campground has a “Creation Station” with all kinds of supplies where you can create a special piece of art to take home to remind you of your trip - also gives the kids something fun to do. This was our second stay there, and will be our go to place when we visit Helen! Thank you so much, Hearthstone for an amazing experience!

Liz was absolutely amazing and she saved my weekend. We scrambled to find somewhere to stay near Helen with our camper and I could not have been happier to have found this place. They have great amenities. I loved their little craft area and the pond area with plenty of seating and some hammocks. The showers were absolutely beautiful and very well put together. I will definitely be staying again and hopefully booking one of the cute little cabins they have at the area.
