Check in was very easy. Unfortunately, the room did not meet expectations. I have stayed in several different Hampton Inns over the past several years. …

Everything about this place is better than a typical select-service hotel. ||The rooms were clean and well maintained, with solid surface floors, comfortable beds (except for the pillows), and reliable connectivity. The common areas were …

Well, in my over 30 years of travel I have mostly stayed at Hilton properties and have not ever had an experience as I did at this one this past Tuesday. I booked my room late Monday night, after booking for the meeting I was going to, they changed on me with little notice so, I needed to stay at another location so, I can save myself 3 hours of driving and could get to all my meetings. I called this hotel wanting to cancel so I could book another closer to my meeting. The woman on the other end explained, I would have to pay the fee for canceling. I asked what that was and she explained it was for the entire stay. I asked you can't help me here? She said no, our policy is the cancellation must be within 24 hours of the stay (it had not been 24 hrs since I booked it). I explained, I have had to do this with other locations and they were more than happy to help. Well, not here so I had no choice but to stay here and deal with the extra driving and time. l called Hilton Honors to see if they could help me here, they called the hotel with the same result. I asked for the name of the person so I could share my disappointment when I arrived, it was the General Manager. When I got to the hotel a women came out, I asked if she was the General Manger she said she was. I proceeded to tell her (I did not yell, cuss or anything) that this would be my last visit to this location because it was not user friendly for a business person. She slammed her hand down on the counter and yelled with her arm outstretched pointed to the door and told me to GET OUT. Being shocked, I said what, again she yelled LEAVE NOW, I asked why. She explained I was not welcome here and she could refuse service to anyone. I said you charged me for this room and I'm here to stay. She explained, either I leave or she was calling the Cops. I told her to call them. Well 10 minutes later 2 nice officers showed up asking what was going on. She told the officers I was harassing her. I explained everything to them and they told me if she asked me to leave the property, I must, it's the law in Georgia. I explained all I want is my money back for the room which was close to $200.00. They explained this would be civil and would have to take them to court. I took my license and left and the General Manager got here last dig in telling me that "Don't come back, I was not welcomed here again", I told her, no problem, I would Never be back. The officers explained that was 2 years band from this location, again Georgia law. There was no reason for what had happened what so ever. The only person being harassed here was me, the customer. I'm still in disbelief this happened how embarrassing ...

We stay here on the way to our 4th of July family gathering. We booked a queen suite and it was one of the nicest and definitely the biggest room I've ever stayed in. The price was great! We had a kitchenette which we didn't use because we …

Very poor experience with this room. My room was a king room. Unfortunately the THIN king size mattress without box springs was on top of a regular sized frame. The bed sagged and was very lumpy. ||Homeless people panhandling were on each …

Im not sure what can be done about it, but DO NOT sleep on the west side of the building. The lights pour into each and every room, even with the blackout curtain, a bunch of light fills the room. It is a combination of lights the hotel has installed as well as the neighboring restaurant that has lights that are way too bright, ALL NIGHT LONG. Speaking of the restaurant, don't plan on going to bed before 10 during the week and 11 on weekends; you can hear the music as if you are on stage. I won't be back. I'll find another hotel when I stay in Athens. The staff is the only highlight here. Super nice folks, most of them.

The location was perfect for us. Unfortunately, that’s where the good review ends. When we first got to our room, we adjusted the ac (it’s quite a bit hotter in Atlanta than where we live in VT). It took several HOURS to cool down. Every time we left the room for any length of time, we found the ac had been turned off and the room temperature was in the 70s. Considering that it takes so long to cool down, we spent more time being uncomfortable in our room. The fridge in the room was warm inside & it didn’t sound like it was running. We had leftovers from dinner and were worried that they would spoil. When we called the front desk, they asked if the inside of the fridge was cool because if it was, that means it’s working (duh! Pretty sure I know how a fridge works). After a while, she said they would have maintenance look at it in the morning. Just like the ac, it took the fridge HOURS to cool so it was working in the morning. We had an issue with the bed in the first room and they did switch rooms for us but the General Manager spoke to me like I was a complete idiot because I couldn’t understand how the mattress was the same but a different room with the same mattress would make a difference. Our first room was an ADA room, the new room was not. One night my husband was having acid reflux issues so I called the front desk to see if they had antacids in the store. I was told I could come down & look. I was dressed for bed & didn’t feel I should have to get dressed to go downstairs just to find that they didn’t have any when she could have easily looked & let me know. The pool was closed on our third day because a guest was trapped in it due to the ADA lift not working. Apparently, there was not a way to contact a staff member for assistance. Luckily, there were 4 CVMA bikers nearby who were able to get him out of the pool. The pool was closed on our last day with no reason given. We were not able to find any staff to ask when it would be opened and check out was at 11am. This hotel has probably the worst customer service I have experienced in a very long time.

The linens were stained on the bed and the beds felt smaller than a traditional queen size. Location is great other then the homeless issue but that's not really anything the hotel can control. Booked for several days but will end trio early to find other accommodations.

Update, per the note below I called to speak to the manager again. The young lady I talked to was very nice and took all of my information. Still to this date, no manager has called me back. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! This is not for the hotel it 'self, but more for the customer service. I made a reservation and in the clicking around with pricing must have changed the date and it ended up on that night. I did not notice it... it was my fault. I tried calling to see if there was anything they could do with the charges and left a message for the hotel manager to give me a call back since I called twice with them not being there. Never got a call back, like I said, even after 2 calls. While I don't think they could have done anything, it would have been nice to get the call back. Great customer service.... NOT.

I had an issue with the linen on the bed. I called the office yo ask for a new room and they offered new linen because they were fully booked. I was already in my pajamas. I could not go downstairs. I asked if someone could meet me at the elevator or bring the linen to me. The clerk said no because she was the only one at the desk and they are not a full service hotel. The next day, I spoke to the manager. She said because I declined their offer for new linen, there was nothing she could do monetarily (ex. refund, future discount). Needless to say I was disappointed, so I called Hilton to discuss the matter.
