We scheduled a college visit and the tour was nice. It lasted about 2 hours. We were about to take the shuttle and check out the entire campus. Not to far from downtown

My professor in my major made a point to force feed her politics into our curriculum. I'm grateful for my degree, but it has come at a high cost. My 250$ a month for school loans have been tough in this economy. All the classes that focused on feelings instead of skill make my monthly loan payments hard to accept. When I graduated, i flew to Boston, Massachusetts, for a job interview. It was for a job in Germany at a military base. They offered me 12 thousand dollars a year. I worked construction part-time to pay my way through school and was making 50 a year when i graduated back in 04. Not all my professors at GCSU were bad, infact some were amazing. My experience in Milledgeville was awesome. I loved cycling and fishing around Baldwin County.

Though I was just walking around outside the campus, the buildings, of course some of them dating back 19th century, gave nice impressions! The college in the middle of downtown is very practical.

You have to make sure you get a good advisor. My first one was horrible, and made me take extra classes I didn't need. My second one is wonderful! The campus is beautiful, fun, and relaxing. When the weather is nice there are always people on front lawn. The professors care about student learning, and make it apparent in class. There are some issues with vandalism, but only to the sign on campus. Classes are challenging, but passable. Overall, my stay with Georgia College has been about a 3.5 out of 5.

It's okay. The campus itself is beautiful. I decided to come here as a freshman due to its prestigiousness in comparison to the other colleges I was accepted to. It's in a homey and small town with honestly not a whole lot around. There are definitely fun activities you can participate in here if you're an active student. I find myself driving back home every weekend though because there is nothing here for me on the weekends and I miss seeing the people I care about. It's fun if you know people here already, otherwise you may struggle socially. Also, their dining hall is extremely lacking consodering the price I pay for my meal plan. They could do a LOT better in my opinion. In short, I will be transferring to a different college that is closer to home, is well known for student social events, has lots to do in the surrounding area, and puts more effort into student dining and housing that we all have to pay a lot for.

Georgia College is my alma mater, and I lived some of the best years of my life there. The faculty are very involved, and student engagement options are many. I personally worked with the GIVE center to volunteer around the county, and I met some of my closest friends there. My professors in the psychology department were AMAZING, as were my Spanish professors. The campus itself is beautiful and is adjacent to downtown Milledgeville, which boasts a number of great restaurants and popular local hangouts. I can't recommend Georgia College enough, not just for the institution but also for the area.

Georgia College offers a true small town college experience. I transferred here from Georgia State University and found the campus welcoming. The class sizes are small and I was more than just a number to my professors. I enjoyed my undergraduate experience so much that I completed the Master of Management Information Systems program after I graduated. My only regret is that I did not start here as a freshman!

As a senior here, I love it. Most of the faculty has a PHD level of education, so they REALLY know what they're talking about. The art department (my major) is a bit on the smaller side, it's one of my few complaints about the school. Parking is awful (more so than your average college campus), but the overall atmosphere of the campus is very good.
