Well a bad review was written once from my family and she threatened to break my lease until I took it down. All the bad responses are incredibly accurate and the 5 star reviews are misleading and holding it up, one just being about parking for UGA games. I was called a liar on multiple occasions, accused of running Piedmont Hospitals out of my apt, and was harassed when having visitors to where they started street parking as to not be seen. Landlord admitted to watching me in the parking lot through the office window twice and questioned me about my behavior. There was a HUGE stain on my apt that looked like a crime scene. I could hear everything from my neighbors. I also would not report others because I knew that they would get yelled at. I also had a friend over and she got upset with him and told me not only should I not trust him (he was literally in my wedding) and that my (now wife) would rather me spend time with her. My friends would literally avoid her to where one was waiting on me and parked on campus down the street because he knew she would confront him while he was waiting or call the cops. This was after being threatened to be towed.

All of the negative reviews are so true! I wished I saw these one-star comments before I moved in. The crazy landlord and her management team (in fact, her family members) are the rudest people I've ever met in my entire life. Also, if you are afraid of bugs and roaches, you should definitely avoid here. You will regret, 100%!

I have lived in Mi Casa for over 3 years in both 1b1b and 2b1b apartments. The location is great (walkable to campus and five points), the maintenance is quick (1-2 business days) and the rent is affordable (much cheaper than other places around) especially for graduate students. There are quiet hours requirement, so it's not an ideal place for people who like to hold parties at home. But it's definitely a nice place for people who enjoy spending their own time in a quiet environment.

I have never rated a place one star, but if I can, I wanna give Mi Casa 0 star. If you are serious students or UGA professionals who need quiet place to study or work, DO NOT LIVE HERE! The rent seems cheap but the wall is super thin and you will waste a lot of time dealing with unreasonable landlord. Look at others' reviews!

One day as I was driving past, I received a phone call from my father and pulled over to answer it. As to not break the hands-free law, I stopped because I knew this phone call would be a long one. Once I had parked at 'Mi Casa Apartments' I had a horrible, racially motivated, and disrespectful encounter with the landlady. Within less than a minute, I looked in my side view mirror and saw her walking around the back of my car from a distance. She was on the phone and as my window was rolled down, I heard her on the phone with the police reading out my license plate number. I placed my mask on, rolled my window down the rest of the way and asked politely, "Excuse me. Is there a problem?". She extremely rudely, without a mask, told me that she was the landlady and that I was not a registered guest and therefore, was not allowed to be on the property. The problem here is that she was on the phone with the police, within the 30 seconds I was there. She never once asked me who I was, why I was there, or even addressed me at all. She did not even give me the courtesy and respect of assuming I was simply there a guest. Without any regard for me as a human, she called to have my car towed away while I was still in it. She could have paused for half a second and realized I was trying to have a serious conversation on the phone before calling. It's difficult to not assume that she would have acted differently if I looked different. I highly doubt that the landlady knows every single car that is registered on her property. I politely said "Okay that's fine. I'll leave. Have a good day." and drove off as she scoffed at me. As a black man, this is a painful thing to see and experience in this day and age. She could have easily had the common courtesy and human decency to at least let me know that I should not be parked there before calling the police. She most likely assumed I was going to get out of the car and had already planned to get me towed away and in trouble. If my appearance or skin color had been different, I doubt that she would have called without at least giving me a notice that I could not be there. I did not realize that pulling off to talk on the phone while black is such a heinous crime. As a fellow human being, I hope she finds the therapy and peace within herself that she so desperately needs. Don’t let ‘Mi Casa’ be tu casa!!!
