Lived here for two years at this point, nothing ever gets fixed, property is constantly being passed around between management companies, they attempt to overcharge every single month. Do not rent here unless you want to spend hours of your uncompensated time in their office fixing their mistakes.

Be prepared for terrible communication if you rent here (along with what the other reviews are saying about the apartment itself). I moved out in December and despite multiple assurances that my security deposit would be returned, they have failed to send it. Each time I followed up, I receive vague responses about it "being processed", but no actual refund. It has been MONTHS. Now, they are not answering my last email, and don't ever seem to answer the phone. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and it reflects poorly on their professionalism and integrity. If you are considering renting here, be prepared for horrible communication and extreme difficulty with getting your security deposit back. I will be pursuing legal action at this point since they refuse to communicate or follow the law in the first place.

The only reason this apartment isn't rated lower is because in the lease it states if you write a negative review, you can be evicted. Originally when we moved in, we were getting charged double the rent, this took over a month to correct. When moving our furniture in, another current resident told us we should have pulled the trailer on the grass up to the front door so nothing would get stolen. There were needles and trash on the ground, broken down cars in the parking lot, trash overflowing, gunshots at least once a week, I couldn't even guess the amount of times cop/ambulance lights woke me up, and there was an attempted break into our apartment. All that is nothing compared to the issues we had with bugs - specifically fleas and roaches. We paid the mandatory pest control payment every month, and not once did I see pest control come out. I would wear three pairs of socks and still didn't have a single inch on my feet without a flea bite. I vacuumed and sprayed down the apartment daily and it made no difference in stopping this problem. Then around springtime, this issue turned toward roaches. Again every product the store had to offer did nothing to alleviate this issue and management was no help. We were forced to move here due to a last-minute job and no other places being available. Wish we would have just stayed in a camper instead.

Clean, quiet and safe! I have lived here for 5 months, and I thought I should just add one last follow-up to my previous post. Let me start out by saying no one is paying me to say the following. This is not a sales pitch- it's truly from the heart. This little community is a special place. You could spend a lot more money and live in a luxury condo BUT then you wouldn't have the management staff Laura and Irene, looking out for you. These ladies address any issue, no matter how small, on the same day it is brought to their attention. They will work with anybody but having said that, it is worth noting that they are a force to be reckoned with: they tolerate zero nonsense; no rudeness no criminals etc.. But as a tenant, if you choose, you never have to see them - it's really up to you. As a result of all their efforts, in the five months I've been here this community is constantly becoming safer, quieter and cleaner. There are toddlers in the playground, teenagers and college students.....black white Mexican - everyone gets along. I've really like it here - much more than I thought I would What more can you ask for? ------------------------------------------------------------------ Laura and Irene, the front office management team are absolutely charming. They are super informative and helpful. Moving is a pain period. These two ladies made a huge difference in minimizing the hassle for me. It is obvious that they really do care that their tenants will be happy here at Timber Chase. I'm assuming SMP is new owner/management company. And I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you (from SMP) but trust me Laura and Irene are assets to your company, you do not want to lose these two ladies.

Buildings are in bad shape & poorly maintained. Nearly every maintenance request I've submitted has been ignored. Management is difficult to contact (for example, the phone number displayed on google searches is wrong).

Since under new owners/management the property has gone through some improvements; eviction of the more rowdy and disrespectful tenants, units have been or are being remodeled, a laundry facility with brand new washers and dryers (although the price for each is about $0.75-$1.00 more than other apt complex and laundromats around town), new outdoor area being built, and additional improvements in the works.

They want you to call so you can discuss the issue, they won't answer, the office is locked and o god forbid go in there when you do catch em at the office and they know anything.....3 months after mother in law got the apt they finally put in dining room window they failed to tell her they where not in. The bugs are so bad you can't cook, sit down a drink o and let's not talk about the refrigerator or freezer they get in so you don't want to put anything in there.
