Absolutely perfect! The location is wonderful, the home is lovely, but the hosts are what make this the perfect spot. Rooms are quiet and the breakfast is delicious! Plenty of room to explore outside, sit on the front porch or listen to relaxing music inside.

My husband and I stayed at the Colonels on our wedding night. We were so pleased with how sweet and attentive Colonel Mark is. He clearly loves his guests and his community and far exceeded our expectations. He made us feel like family from the very moment he picked us up from our reception venue. We got the private bathroom, and the Jacuzzi is huge! Colonel Mark even gave us a little bath kit with bubbles, lotion, soap, and salts. It was such a wonderful experience. The room we stayed in was so nice and overlooked the fields where the horses stay. It was really quiet in the house, which made for a deep sleep after such a busy day. Colonel Mark brought us fruits, cheeses, and a custom juice that evening. The morning, he made us a great private breakfast of eggs, bacon, pastries, tea, and orange juice. Delicious!! Colonel Mark even brought us back to our apartment. Such a kind gentleman. We will definitely be coming back!

There is no place quite like this B & B. The house, landscape, and rooms are absolutely beautiful. Colonel Marc and his hospitality is exceptional. The rooms are so clean and very comfortable. Did I mention the breakfast that Colonel Marc prepares every morning?? That is a treat within itself. This is a place that we will be coming back to on a regular basis.

I had the pleasure of staying in the bridal suite at the colonels the night of my wedding. Colonel Marc was very kind (and also an excellent cook!). We were sincerely told congratulations multiple times. The grounds were beautiful! The room overlooked the pool, large trees, and a lovely pasture of horses. We could faintly hear a woodpecker getting ready for breakfast. I immensely enjoyed the clawfoot tub in one of the two adjoining bathrooms. Our stay was very relaxing and much needed. I highly recommend The Colonel's.

What a wonderful choice in staying here. Beautiful setting, wonderful accommodations, the furnishings were absolutely amazing. It was everything I was hoping for and more. Our room overlooked the family pool and horse pasture, which we walked around before the rains hit. If you get a chance, take a walk and enjoy the beauty of the property.

Private location, peaceful setting. About 15 minutes from downtown Athens. Very nice updated room, bath. Delicious breakfast and Colonel Marc is a gracious host. We felt like special guests. Terrific stay, will return.
