Had the best sushi in downtown Athens! Started with edamame that was hot, grilled a salted to perfection. Loved the sunset roll with yellow fontina. 8 large piece and very good. Had the tuna handbook and it wasn’t our favorite. Loved the patio vibe and also the sushi bar inside. Delicious!

Went to Chuck’s on a Monday at 4 pm. We were the first seated and truly enjoyed the experience and food. We had the spring rolls, surf and turf, and Spicy tuna roll. It was delicious. This restaurant is not for the student community. Be prepared to pay a higher price and longer wait during busy eating hours. Management may consider allowances for reservations during peak hours of operation. Policy for customers not lingering at their table after dinner would need to be advised for maximum turnover. Excessive wait times set you up for hangry customers.

How they have above a 4 star rating is beyond me. Their $24 rainbow roll of 8 pieces is the first rainbow roll I’ve ever had in my life that doesn’t include avocado. Can you even call it a rainbow roll? 1 roll, 2 hand rolls, 1 $42 fish of the day, no drinks, and the bill was $100 before tip. I’ve been to Chuck’s several times over the years, and it’s always been underwhelming, but this time reinforced it was the absolute last. My sushi standard isn’t that high, but I’ve had better sushi from gas stations.

We had a great experience at Chuck’s! The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great as well. They were very busy, but we could see why! The customer service we recieved from Ximena was top tier. She was all smiles, and was very accommodating to us. We have found one of our favorite go-to date night spots!

We sat at the bar and had a great night. We started out with the calamari and Brussel sprouts and then had the shrimp tempura sushi roll and the Philly sushi roll. The calamari was my favorite. Delicious! We will be back again soon! Great service too!

In town for parents weekend and finally made it to Chuck’s. It didn’t disappoint. Uptown chicken and Brussel sprouts wereour favorite appetizer. I had bronzed red snapper with a mango salsa and rice pilaf. It was well prepared and delicious. Wife and son shared several rolls. Rainbow and The Dawg were their favorites. Highly recommend

Best in Athens GA. Consistently good food and service. Chef Vu takes care of fresh fish side and open kitchen pumps out hot dishes as orders come in. Wait staffs are very knowledgeable and prompt. Never had disappointed time.

Exceptional dining experience; atmosphere, service, quality and preparation of food was all outstanding and deserving of restaurant's excellent reputation...atmosphere on a Friday evening football weekend was lively and festive (as most establishments in downtown Athens)...great mix of students, parents and football fans of all ages...well worth the wait as Chuck's gets crowded early on weekends...excited to get back to share dining experience with family and friends

Chuck's Fish in Athens, Georgia was the perfect choice for my birthday celebration with my partner. Ever since I moved to Athens, I had heard great things about this place, and it did not disappoint. We visited on a Tuesday night and were pleasantly surprised to find no wait, being seated promptly. However, it's worth noting that the prices are on the higher side, so expect to spend between $50-$70 per person. Drinks: The cocktail selection was impressive, and we decided to try the Greyhound and the Palomino. Both were expertly crafted, providing a delightful start to our dining experience. Food: The food was undoubtedly a highlight of the evening. For starters, we indulged in the Sesame-Seared Tuna and the Shrimp and Chorizo Fettuccine. The sesame-seared tuna was a burst of flavors, with the schezwan sauce offering just the right amount of heat. The freshness of the ingredients shone through, and the portion size was generous enough that I could enjoy the rest for lunch the next day. Service: While the service was a tad slower compared to other restaurants, it didn't significantly detract from our experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed for an enjoyable evening. Atmosphere: Chuck's Fish exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere. Each table was adorned with candlelight, creating a cozy ambiance. The lighting was perfectly balanced, allowing for a comfortable dining experience. Put our name in at 6:45 for dinner, said it would be a 45 minute wait. We come back at 7:30 and they said it would be yet another 45 minutes. It's currently 10:02 PM as I am writing this review and we still haven't been seated. Just checked with the hostess and she said there are still 8 groups ahead of us. I should mention we are a party of TWO PEOPLE. two. We just ordered Taco Bell
