I’ve had CAVA at other locations but will never go back to the Athens location. I order the salmon bowl for pickup with avocado added. I was in Athens for a doctor’s appointment and live 30 minutes from the location. When I got home and opened my food I first noticed that the avocado was rotten, so I had to scoop most of that out. That pissed me off because I paid $2 extra for it and feel if it’s rotten it doesn’t take a whole lot of common sense not to put that in the food. After scooping that out I noticed there was in fact NO SALMON on my salmon bowl. On top of all of that the portions given for nearly a $20 meal was a joke. I am working on getting my refund right now because this meal was not worth a dime of my money. Of course when calling the location to speak to someone the call goes directly to an error dial tone. This sucks because I love CAVA but after reading other similar reviews to mine it seems the Athens location needs to be closed. Edit: I did get a quick response after submitting a complaint with support. They did not refund my money but did give me a credit on the app. I think that’s pretty crappy if I didn’t want to eat CAVA again but I happen to love a different location near me, so I will be using it there.

We stopped in and were initially concerned that we had made the wrong choice, because there were very few patrons for the lunch hour. We ordered and were seated... as you can see from the video, the crowd arrived soon after. The food was fabulous and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend! I had the build your own bowl with the Harissa Honey Chicken. All the ingredients were just wonderful. Kindness and Generosity are more than a corporate value of this place. The staff at the Athens location really practice it. Thanks!

My husband looked up Cava Athens online, and we visited today. Their food has a different flavor. I'd never had black lentils before, and I liked them. While we were there, the place was packed. Some eat in, others take out. I recommend it. We'll be back.

This is one of the worst Cavas I’ve ever been to. Normally when I order I am picking up so I can head to work and my order is always either missing something or something is wrong. I also HATE that they don’t just place the pickup orders to the side and I have to wait in line anyways. Today I tried the salmon because I’ve been wanting to see how it is, I should’ve stuck to the chicken.. the salmon portioning is so small.. idk what it’s supposed to be because it’s my first time trying.

cava is yummy, & has maybe the best cheap kids meal in town ($7!!!!!!) - but the portions can change drastically between meals / whoever’s working so sometimes it feels like you aren’t really getting your money’s worth. i’ve heard some rumours about mismanagement + poor prep on the athens reddit, but i haven’t experienced any specific incidents & the post was made a year ago, so perhaps things have changed?

Healthy fresh Mediterranean food with a spin on it. Great bowls and options! If you've never been and prefer your food unprocessed, give them a try. I promise you'll like it!

I absolutely LOVE CAVA. However, this location has always been terrible. You will always wait at least 20 minutes no matter how little people there are. Also, one time I saw who I believe to be the owner making himself a bowl behind the counter without any gloves or other fast food ppe. I wouldn’t normally leave a review because despite the terrible service and pure chaos behind the counter, the food always brought me back, but this last time was entirely ridiculous. I walked in to an already long line that only increased steadily as I waited but no orders were being taken. Instead, the workers joked and messed around with each other behind the counter, eventually causing people including myself to leave. Someone seriously needs to come in and 5S this place and management.

Food was great. Service was good but the place is FILTHY. Don’t even look in the vessels that hold the utensils. All tables needed wiping down, floor was littered with food and trash. Did not used to be this way.

Came in and no one was in line and they made me wait 10 minutes until they cleaned up so I patiently waited. When I finally placed my order I was told that they were out of a few ingredients so I changed my order and the girl who was taking my order rolled her eyes and had an attitude after she had me wait 10 minutes to take my order. She made my bowl, but gave me the least amount of everything that she could. It didn't even full up the bowl. I paid $18.36 with a small lemonade. Then I tried to get some ice but the machine was empty so I asked the same girl for ice from behind the counter and she asked someone from the back to fill the machine up so I can get some ice instead of giving it to me from the drive thru area. I tried to get her name off her name tag, but I could barely see it. Not a good experience here and I won't be coming back to this location! Definitely needs improvement in every area at this location. Not the cleanest either....🤨

The food here has always been good, but the cleanliness of the establishment has significantly decreased. It's filthy, especially at the checkout spot. It looks like they haven't even bothered to wipe it down in weeks; there is crusty buildup in the receipt printer. Everything at the drink area is sticky. Won't be returning for awhile.
