Spent 2 days and one night here. The lake was lovely but SO MUCH GLASS! Kept finding bottles half buried under the sand in the beach area. Was worried a kiddo would slice their foot open when swimming or walking around. Cute dock that was amaing for sunset/rise. Be prepared for lots of walking. Cabins and dinning hall were rustic and old but obviously no AC and in mid July it felt like death. All buildings all so smelled like a zoo, even when airing them out with open windows. And the roofs of cabins had some holes and some looked ready to fall in. Nice big field near the lake. Amphitheater was in terrible condition and many of the trails were not well pathed out so lots of confusion on where was "safe" to go or not. Not a great spot for the purpose of our trip, a big church camp, but fun for other things I'm sure.

Horrible place! The old and stinky cabins. The place does not have air conditioning so if you go in summer you will feel that it is your death. The lake was full of empty bottle of alcohol, and for every 6 cabins there is just one shower. Simply if you want to go and have the bad time of your life, go there.

literally the worst place ever, most toilets were clogged and if they weren’t they straight up were broken. showers were disgusting and some didn’t work or have lights in them. no air conditioning at all even tho we were told there was air conditioning. so many beer bottles in the lake. the oven in the kitchen was broken and was shooting out flames. there were holes in the floor that people in my group fell in. so many bugs in the cabins everything was gross in the cabins. this place literally is the worst do not come here it was also SO HOT.

This place was honestly terrible. I’m not usually one to write bad reviews but i had a bad experience. I stayed a day and a half before my group decided we should leave. We were told before we paid there would be AC then after we paid they told us there was none. I know going the hottest week of June was probably a bad idea but lying about whether or not we had AC can be just as worse. The ovens were broken so we ate warm food everyday and we were supposed to do a service project with stuff they provided but they didn’t even provide that. Inside was worse heat wise so we couldn’t even cool off. It would’ve been so much better if we had a place to cool off and the heat didn’t send people to the hospital or home. If you are fine with heat and old cabins it would be perfect for you but not for me.

Joey is a scardy cat. It's a beautiful lake. It's really peaceful. I was hoping to see some ghosts, never did.

Better off sleeping in a tent. The cabins are in horrible condition and they stink. It's like living in the year 1837. Not to mention the cabins, woods and lake are legit haunted. You can see shadow people walking around at night time and you can hear voices. It's like something out of Friday the 13th. That place is spooky as hell!

Camp rutledge is always a good experience, even though the centrally located bathroom has been out of service for 3+ months
