went to boars to watch the Alabama game last night and walked upstairs to get some service. Noticed my roommate in line and tried to talk to her because she was by herself- that’s when the bouncer cut me off and told me he wasn’t letting anyone in. I told him I understood that they have capacity and she’d get in when she could. That’s when the owner came over yelling at everyone to get out the way and yelled at me for talking to his bouncers. I again tried to be respectful and told him I was sorry and explain myself, then he told me I’m “not pretty enough to act that way” and I was appalled. I LOVED this bar and it really put a bad taste in my mouth. I asked if he were the owner and he said yes if you don’t like it you could leave and I said that was no way to talk to a customer OR a woman and he pushed me out of the bar making me drop my stuff along the way before I even got the chance to let my friends know I was leaving. I will NOT be back. This was Very heartbreaking to say the least, especially with a $40 cover per person. If I could leave no stars I would.

I always enjoy going here. This is our first stop of the night when my friends and I go bar hopping. They have free popcorn. Darts are always cool to play. I think you have to pay for pool though which is a few quarters and worth it once you start. The bartenders make some good drinks for a reasonable price. The other bars I went to were overpriced.

The staff are all really nice. Good live music. And the bathrooms are actually in pretty good shape. It's also basically 4 bars in 1. Two on the main level, one upstairs, and one downstairs. So you can get a drink anywhere you want.

This is one of my favorite bars downtown!! I love this place!! The only downfall is the small amount of bar space compared to the number of people who usually frequent this bar. It's usually very crowded, but the music is good and it's always a good time here. The Capri Sun shots are freakin amazing!!

I cannot express my disappointment with this bar. This used to be my favorite dive bar in Athens, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The bouncers admit their "friends" over patrons who have been patiently waiting 15+ minutes in a line. When I brought this up to the bouncer, I was rudely told, "Go cry about it." I understand that the service industry is a stressful one, having worked in it myself, but that is no excuse for the inconsiderate, disrespectful behavior that I experienced here.

This place is amazing. They got pong, shuffle board, pool, live music, and my favorite...darts! It's a huge plus that they have great bartenders too. However Beth probably makes the drinks the best so get em from her if you can.

One of my favorite bars in Athens. They've got quality drinks constantly on their happy hour list. $2 for a Guinness, can't beat it. They also have pool, darts, and some other cool bar games.
