We stayed at Bear Necessities Cabin for the weekend. My husband and I needed a long deserve getaway. First off the cabin was adorable and super clean. We didn’t bring our pets though they were accepted at the cabin we chose. We started off a little late so by the time we got there we were exhausted but as soon as we walked in all our stress just started to melt away. It was a cute little one bed cabin with all the furnishings and such. We enjoyed the hot tub, were extra lazy and watched tv in bed and also just sat on the porch and enjoyed nature. The only negative thing was our weekend ended too quickly. We even went for a little drive and saw a mama bear and her two cubs. By the cabin we got to see a turkey, lots of beautiful birds and lots of lightning bugs. We will definitely be back for another couples getaway but we are also planning a family trip to one of their larger cabins.

We stayed at Riverside Escape with our 2 pups and loved everything about this cabin. The drive down the driveway was at first a little scary but we did get used to it. The outside add on was the best! Loved it! 5stars!!!

If I could give 10 stars I would! My family and I stayed at the Ellijay, Bluejay Cabin and it was a dream come true! Magnificent! Incredible! It was just breathtaking how beautifully done this cabin was. Everything we could ever need or want was included here. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The owners were so thoughtful about every detail of this cabin and we have stayed at many cabins over the years. It’s no coincidence that it’s always booked up. The game room was used everyday my kids loved it so much to do. I tell all my family and friends about this location. I can’t wait to go back again.

We stayed at the Bear Rapids cabin on the Cartacay 10/20/25. While the cabin was clean and location on creek great, I'll start with the minor glitches...Description said it had a DVD player, so we brought movies to watch near fire at night...no go as the remote is gone to use it...not the worst...it said it had a smart tv, so we were gonna change gears and catch up on some Netflix shows on our vacation, again no go as the t.v is so old the app is expired and can't log in to any account!? I mean a new 48" at the Walmart is like $120...use some of the $2,000 ppl are spending weekly and get a new one in there, you'll be good for years. And lastly and most disappointing is I promised my hard working girlfriend she would have a week of solitude and peace, from work and kids, and since she works at 5 a.m, could sleep in as long as she likes and then enjoy the sounds of the creek and nature while she had coffee, wine, or reading her book. Monday bright and early we were woken up to the sounds of hammers, nail guns, ban saws and our personal favorite chain saws 100ft from our cabin!!! As neighbor is building a deck and staircase all the way down to the river!! This went on daily sunrise to sunset for the whole trip!! Relax on the deck, nope, unwind in hot tub, nope, try and fish in the peace by the river, nope! We've had more serene trips in Vegas!! No way housekeeping or mgmt didn't realize this was gonna go on. When i called to voice my huge disappointment in a expensive ruined week of solitude I was told it wasn't their problem and nothing could be done. I get u can't stop the construction zone, but something ALWAYS can be done...comped night, discount if we ever used them again etc.etc....Hell ive had a night or two waived off my hotel bill once cause bad plumbing and a bug in the bed. I feel so bad for the people checking in after us and beyond, cause the experience is the antithesis of what u seek out when retreating to a quiet cabin secluded in the woods! I always roll with punches and am not a person who quickly complains, but this would make anyone break

Over the weekend, my Family and I stayed at Water’s Edge cabin. We were very excited because it was my Father’s birthday and we finally got our entire family together. We booked with Blue Sky cabin rentals for a weekend getaway. Upon arriving the cabin looked nice from the outside and was decorated nicely on the inside. However, the place was not clean at all. In the window seals and around the floors were bugs lying everywhere. They had bug traps in almost every corner full of bugs but failed to clean them up before renting it out. We reserved this cabin well in advance which is more than enough time to make sure that it is clean before guests arrive. There was dog hair on every bed, couch and rugs. Which was an issue because my sister has allergies. Not to mention the house smelled of urine. I understand that they allow dogs but should make sure that it’s cleaned up afterwards. It was plain to see that the “cleaners” did not do their job at all. Then to top it off the pool table was a mess. The railings were folded down and the holes would pop out of place. You can tell that the owners tried to put it back together using caulking. This was one of the main reasons for booking because majority of my family are huge pool players. Also, some of the furniture had big pieces missing. The downstairs heater did not work, and the shower floor in one the bathrooms had a large crack in it. Needless to say we made the best of this trip but I would not recommend staying here unless they fix these things. It’s very unfortunate because it has great potential and would be a very nice place to stay. The lake in the front was nice as well and the cabin had a great view. But to say the least, We will not be booking this cabin again. We contacted management and the call went to voicemail so we left a message. No one contacted us nor tried to come and fix the issues. Total Bummer!!!

This is a review of Hemlock Creek Cabin. My wife and I stayed there Feb 13-16. I'll start with the good. The cabin was clean and is in a good location (20 mins away from both Ellijay and Blue Ridge). The kitchen was well supplied. The deck overlooks the creek which runs right beside of the cabin and provides a wonderful and peaceful view with the sound of running water audible even when inside with the doors shut. The bathrooms were clean with ample space for our toiletries. The cabin is relatively easy to find and has a concrete drive for parking. We did not use the hot tub so I can't comment on that. Now for the not so good. We woke up at 230am on our last night there to find out that the power was out due to a passing storm. Our cabin was pitch black dark and cold. I could see that neighboring cabins still had lights on so I assumed that our cabin must be the only one without power. With overhead power lines running through an extremely wooded area, it would have been easy for a limb to have come down and taken out the power to the cabin. I decided i needed to contact someone regarding this but since the power was out, we also had no WiFi or cell phone service. So, I started driving in the middle of the night in a storm in an attempt to find a place where I could get a cell phone signal. I drove all the way to Blue Ridge with no success despite over sixty attempts to call the 24/7 Blue Sky help number. I was finally able to contact the help number once I was about a half mile from the cabin on my way back. I was told that there was a power outage in the area and that the reason neighboring cabins still had power was because they had backup generators. Of course my first question was why doesn't our cabin have a backup generator? I was simply told that they would pass that along to the owner. While no one can control the weather, having a backup generator in that area in my opinion is a must for safety and liability reasons. My wife and I got very little sleep that night and we were both put at risk due to the outage. While Blue Sky personnel were very polite, there was no offer of any kind of compensation. Again, you can't control the weather but it certainly wasn't mine or my wife's fault. The situation was not of our making and could have been avoided had the owner installed a generator. Other issues which ranged from simply annoying to not good at all included the fact that the cabin was drafty. There was a significant gap underneath the entry door which allowed cold air to come through (photo included). It was a cold and windy weekend and the wind audibly howled at times as it whipped through the gap in the door. You could also feel cold air coming through the light switch located beside the entry door. While the upstairs loft included a nice king sized bed, one of the support slats popped out from underneath the bed twice while we were sleeping on it (and no, we are not overweight). I had to get up in the middle of the night twice in order to fix the slat. The game room, which apparently doubles as a place for dogs as it has a dog bed and feeding dishes included, was lacking. It included a dart board that was completely worn out with the center cork missing and darts with feathers that kept falling out (pics included). The foosball or soccer table had a golf ball for a ball. There were no actual foosballs with the table (pic included). One last complaint regarding the firewood that was available. They left a good starter supply of firewood along with a lighter. The only problem is that there was no kindling or fire starter included so it was impossible to start a fire our first night. I rectified that the next day by stopping at Walmart for some kindling. I guess I could have gone outside and retrieved some small sticks to start the fire except it happened to be a wet, rainy weekend. Final positive feedback is that ALL of these issues are fixable. Many of them can be easily and cheaply fixed. But until these issues are addressed, I would not recommend staying at this cabin.

Truly cannot say enough great things about Blue Sky. I had trouble with my card upon our initial booking and the team was super quick to help resolve the situation and everyone was very friendly and pleasant to work with. After booking we revived an email offering add on services so we did choose to add one the romance package as we were there to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The set up was lovey. The cabin was seasonally decorated for fall and sooo cute. The whole experience was phenomenal, we do not have one single complaint and truly cannot wait to return. We've already recommended Blue Sky to friends and will continue to do so!

First off I would like to say it really wasn’t just a terrible experience but I wouldn’t refer to anyone. It really felt like the owner may have just came and made sure the lights were on and the cable was on and left. We had to wash dishes …

We do an annual "friendsgiving" each year and this time we stayed at "Stone Pool Lodge". This was by far the best cabin that we have stayed at! We have 10 people and the living spaces and outdoor areas were so comfortable and accommodating that we are highly likely to stay here again next year.

My husband and I decided to head to Blue Ridge for our mini-moon 😉 and it was my first time renting a cabin. I landed upon Blue Sky Cabin Rentals through the BlueRidgeGA site and honestly, something felt really good about it. We booked one of their cabins, “Liberty Lookout” and it did not disappoint. The most amazing cabin, great location, and exactly what we hoped it would be (based on the images). The cabin was clean, nothing out of place and no issues AT ALL. The process was very easy also which is always a plus. The recommendations were also great. I will definitely book through Blue Sky again.
