The management here is truly wonderful. They’ve been so kind, attentive, and easy to communicate with from the very beginning. It’s clear they take pride in making sure guests feel cared for, and that effort really shows. Their professionalism paired with genuine hospitality made my stay such a positive experience. I really appreciate the way they went above and beyond, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a welcoming place to stay. The cabin is as described, rustic but comfortable. The A.C. worked great which is needed in this Georgia weather! Television and wifi was easy to use, bathroom and kitchen very nice. The back porch was the best part for me, super cute and comfy.

Perfect location for a hiking weekend on the Appalachian Trail around Blood Mountain. Our cabin was right next to a short (5 minute walk) private trail up to Mountain Crossings outfitters on the AT. Nothing fancy but everything we needed. Comfy beds, good kitchen set-up, nice living/dining/TV room area. Very clean, easy online check-in and out, responsive helpful management, good WiFi. Private secluded back porch along a small creek. Convenient location right off Gainesville Hwy 19 (you will hear some traffic). Highly recommend - Great stay!

Staying at Blood Mountain Cabins ("Otter" cabin) for the Fourth of July weekend was a profoundly disappointing experience. While the owner was communicative prior to booking, all contact ceased once the reservation was confirmed. Upon arrival, we were immediately dismayed by the cabin's condition. We discovered baby cockroaches and rat droppings on the silverware and LVP flooring. Despite claims of renovation, the cabin felt old, depressing, and poorly maintained, with numerous visible patches. This significantly impacted our stay, leaving us feeling deeply uncomfortable. I attempted to contact the owner the following morning, sharing photos of the issues, but received no response or acknowledgment. Furthermore, accessing the cabin was incredibly hazardous. The road conditions were so poor that a high-clearance vehicle (like a Jeep) is essential; a standard car risks significant damage, including flat tires. It felt genuinely dangerous to drive in and out. Walking around wasn't an option either; on one attempt, we encountered a bear actively rummaging through trash directly outside the cabin, which was a terrifying experience and raised concerns about waste management. Adding to the misery, the constant noise from what sounded like hundreds of race bikes and cars using the mountain road as a track made it impossible to relax. It felt like sleeping on a NASCAR track, completely negating any desire for a peaceful escape. Overall, the cabin was extremely depressing, and the entire experience was far from the "blessing" I had hoped for. I would strongly advise against staying here. For a truly better and safer experience, I recommend looking into cottages within the Chattahoochee National Forest instead. I will never return to Blood Mountain Cabins, even for a free stay.

Wasted almost $400 did not get any rest. Felt like I was sleeping on a NASCAR track with motorcycles and car zooming up and down totally disappointed with the place the parking and experience. The place was disgusting and I was depressed for two days. I was there never going back and I do not recommendthis place even for free.

I was hiking through a drenching rain most of the day and decided to push through to Neals Gap. It was too late to stay at the hostel at Mountain Crossing. I wasn't looking forward to another rainy night alone on the trail. Calling ahead …

Good location for hiking the Appalachian trail and Blood Mountain Lots of road noise. With a cleaning fee I would have expected to be cleaner.

Wild boar cabin. The oven door had to be closed by using a chair. The refrigerator started to leak. Didn't know if the shower faucet was going to break and cause a major water leak, but it didn't break.Almost ran out of toilet paper. The couch needs to be replaced, same with the mattress. You will need a truck or Suv maybe a min van...dont take the sports car.

We stayed at the Racoon for 3 nights for our family New Year's Trip. The cabin was newly renovated with some unfinished touches, it is nice and cozy though, but would be great if it came with new furnishing. The sofa in the living room has seen better days. The stairs leading to the loft bedroom doesn't have an inside rail leaving a big gap that might be a safety issue if there is a wild little one staying. I was only a little concerned for that at the beginning though since the kids listened. The beds are comfy, I brought my own bedding covers just for a piece of mind which I am glad I did. It's a full kitchen providing dishes, pots, soap & sponges, no dishwasher though. The toaster didn't work properly. It didn't have a grill when we were there, we didn't care as we had no food to grill. Make sure to bring food and beverage for your stay as the grocery store /restaurant is far. If you cook, bring basic cooking essentials like salt, oil, butter, etc. We didn't check what the cabin store provides though. Nice little bathroom, no hair dryer if u need. You may also bring your own shampoo & soap as what was provided was one set mini package. The Internet isn't reliable, we lost it the New Year's Eve night :( We found the Welcome book & Log books the 2nd night there which was located above the fridge. The log book is dated back to 2000, they are very interesting to read, we also left ours in it. Occasional car/motorcycle race noise from traffic behind at night during our stay, it's tolerable though. The downstairs bedroom is right by the front door so you can see the door in bed. Make sure to put something heavy behind the door before bedtime so you won't wake up freezing noticing the door is wide open (scary & creepy...). It happened to us twice the 2nd night(New Year's early morning..) there. . . First time was around 3 am my husband woke up freezing in pitch-black and saw the door was wide open, he jumped up to lock it and then realized to check no visitors were trapped, luckily no. He then put our big suitcase against the door. Shortly after I woke up, i double checked to make sure the door was locked. About an hour later we were finally about to fall asleep and felt that chill again, we had the lights this time, we saw the door was about 1 foot wide open... My husband had to yell to scare off whatever outside 😅 This time we moved the sofa chair between the door and stairs. We couldn't sleep since then.. We didn't want to ruin our New Year's trip as it's 1st day 2025, so we went to Raven Cliffs Falls as planned with our valuables, and came back the afternoon wondering if the door was open or not, and it remained locked! My husband tried to go to the store to report the issue of the night, but nobody was there, the phone wasn't answered neither (before 5 pm). The owner later responded to my husband's email said nobody reported the door issue, and that was some powerful wind last night!! That's all we got. We hope that was the case as my husband tried to open the door from outside while it was locked, he wasn't able to ... Luckily nothing happened the 3rd / the last night there, but it was a horrible rest as we stayed alert the whole night plus 4.5 hours hiking during the day. Great location: Blood Mountain, Helton's Creek Falls, Vogel State Park are within 5-30 minutes drive. Raven Cliffs Falls is a little over 30 minutes drive. Giving 4 star is because the drive in/out is a bit hard for certain cars. Anyway, the trip was great as we really enjoyed the hiking and spectacular views. The cabin provided whatever we needed with an unforgettable memory. Worth to mention that the "spooky night" didn't leave traumatic mark on my 8 years old (she woke up that night, too), all she remembered was the fun she had by the creek behind the cabin.

Our stay at Blood mountain cabins was a disappointment. Mainly with service of manager. When booking cabin it said there was a pull out sofa bed. There was not. It was only a love seat which sat 2 people. There was a chair in living room but this area really sat only 3 people. We were hoping to be offered different cabin but manager said none of the cabins had sofa beds. We just wished we had a sofa. There were sofas in other cabins. Front porch light did not work. Very dark when coming in at night. We asked manager for assistance with no help. This is a small matter but only 1 roll of toilet paper. Make sure you buy supplies. Manager will not help with anything. Stove didn’t work properly. We didn’t even mention this to manager as we knew we’d get no help. On the last day of our stay as we were packing up, the water was turned off around 10:00 a.m. No courtesy text or anything. We reached out to manager via text, as that was the only way of communicating, and was told there was a leak so plumbers came out. This was on Christmas Eve. WiFi is pretty nonexistent. We were in Beaver cabin and had to connect with WiFi at the Raccoon cabin next door. We reached out to manager with no help once again. The location and surroundings area is beautiful and being with family is what helped get us through this disappointment. The crazy thing is we had stayed at Blood mountain before and that’s why we came back. Must be change in ownership/management. Very bad experience with whoever we were texting with.
