Staff were overall friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Outside of the hotel was very clean and well groomed. Inside was clean and maintained well though parts were showing wear.

Booked with Booking.com, but when I arrived at hotel, details of reservations were completely different. I had to pay upfront for stay each day. Last day of stay, front desk staff was rude and uninformed telling me she had no idea how to take payment. Parts of bathroom was unclean, but I was exhausted after all day conference plus the check in mess and cleaned it myself!

Wow. When my wife and I pulled into the parking lot of this hotel we were delighted. It looked great and when we entered the lobby it looked so nice and a nice young man greeted us we thought what a nice hotel. That was all a facade when we went to the room the hallways smelled so musty. When we went into the room it smelled of some coverup deodorizer, there was black mold all around the tub/shower and to top it all off there was no shower curtain. The phone kept blinking and I called downstairs to report this and was told to put a towel over it so we could not see it blinking. By now we had the creeps. I went downstairs and told the gentlemen behind the desk about the terrible room and he gave us a new room. It was right across from the other room. By now the hotel gave us the creeps. The new room had even more coverup scent than the last room but no mold we could see. The bathroom was missing grout in the tiles and the caulking around the tub and toilet looked like a three year old did it. The room was damp and smelly. Since it was late we went to bed and did not sleep very well between the dampness and smell it was a terrible stay. These people should be reported to the health department. Do yourself a a favor and do not stay at this hotel. It is an outdated slum hotel.

We've stayed at BW Plus in Greenville before but not this particular location. The previous hotel stay was pleasant and we had no complaints. The BW Plus Greenville South hotel was not near the standard of the other one. The room was musty/damp with a peculiar smell. Bathroom tiles were loose/broken and the shower head was loose making it difficult to find the hot water. The shower curtain was just a thin cloth fabric that didn't keep the water from flooding the floor (which likely contributes to the loose tiles). The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. Parking is fine but we won't stay at this location again. It's a shame because I've had good experiences with other BW Plus hotels. Would not recommend.

The entire hotel smelled bad. Smells like you need to tear up all the carpet and wall paper and try again. Some motorcycle club was up late both nights of my stay being obnoxious, revving engines, blocking the entrance, yelling to each other. This both kept me awake and is just not a fun environment to be around, hotel staff should have made them park their motorcycles in actual parking spaces and not in front of the door, and they should have been asked to quiet down after sunset. The stairwells were hot, muggy, and dimly lit, but there was only one elevator running in the middle and it was super slow. Add some more lights and get some air circulation to the stairwells. Mold all around the edge of the bathtub as water does not drain off properly. The shower curtain is also too short, allowing it to fall out of the tub and allow water to get all over the bathroom floor. Bathroom door in my room didn't latch or lock. My room keys would only work half the time, making it incredibly frustrating to get into my room. At check in, waited almost 20 minutes in the lobby for a worker to get to the desk to check us in. Oh, and there apparently is no filtered water anywhere in this hotel, including at the breakfast buffet. Would never come back here again.

Best Western had a history that was not always great but Mr. Patel has changed the atmosphere and really made the hotel welcoming and comfortable. We had booked 10 rooms at a super great rate and there were minor complaints that was corrected immediately. I would definitely consider staying there again.

Best Western ought to do better than this. On the plus side, they provide breakfast, the bed was comfortable, and the location is good. However, the negatives of our stay were many. Two lamp switches were broken off, so we could not turn on those lights. The shower handle fell off when we tried to use it. The equipment in the 'workout room' was horribly run down (all), not really functional (the treadmill), or unable to be adjusted for a person taller than about 5'4" (bike, leg press). And for a 3-night stay, we got no room service for fresh coffee pods or towels. I mentioned the lights and shower handle when I checked out, and the guy on staff wrote it down and mumbled 'thanks' but never offered a simple "I'm sorry."

We should have known what we were in for when, during our check-in, a man came back to the front desk to report that another guest had already occupied the room he had just been assigned. Shockingly, the hotel had no other available rooms …
