Since the manager doesn't want to return my calls, despite calling for the past 3 days, I guess I'm headed this route. We had our reservations at this hotel since December of last year and checked in on the night of July 25th, after driving for 4 hours to get to a concert and not even getting to the hotel until after midnight. Let's start with this, there was multiple different color hairs in the bathroom. So I went to clean them up with toilet paper, only we didn't have toilet paper in the room. So I used a tissue to clean them up and was going to let it be until morning, other than going to the desk to get a roll of toilet paper. Then when I went to fold down the covers on my side of the bed, there was fake fingernails on the floor. Not even pushed up against the bed like maybe the vacuum missed them, but very obviously out in the open where it wasn't even vacuum. And after I check the corners, like I always do in hotels, I moved a pillow off the bed and a bed bug came running out from under the pillow. Not only do I have time and location stamped photos I also ensured I did an image shirt to make sure that I was not seeing things incorrectly. I killed the bug and took it to the front desk. For which I was told there were no other rooms available at all and there was nothing they could do to help us. So at 1:00 in the morning, completely exhausted, we had to sit out in the breakfast area and try to make phone calls, eventually finding a hotel that cost us an extra $700 to stay. It was a busy weekend with a big concert and availability was completely limited. But keep in mind, we had this room booked for 7 months and should have had something decent to stay in after that duration. So again, back to no return phone calls from the manager. Not only do I make my third phone call today, but I was told during this call that there were four pillows and a coffee maker from the room after we left. So not only do they want to put me in a bug infested room, now they accuse me of stealing. They don't want to think about the fact that would be on a camera, and then they went to accuse me of stealing pillows from the room that I found the bedbugs in? They don't want to take ownership for their responsibilities in this matter and they're trying to blame the victim who was placed in a room that was not clean to begin with, but then was also infested. Edit to response: i have time stamped pictures with the bed bug and took one out to the desk! Shame on you for calling me a liar. You did absolutely nothing to make it right. It cost us another $700 to get a room in the middle of the night. Hotels absolutely keep rooms available for emergencies such as a water leak, so there was something. And then to accuse us of stealing? Funny I get a reply to a public post instead of 3 days worth of private phone calls where I tried to discuss this. I'll be sharing the time and location stamped photos with the public health department.

I don’t expect a lot from a best western. They are usually budget friendly but safe and clean but no frills. Makes sense. However, when the Clemson Best Western decided to charged 1k+ per night for parents weekend, what I didn’t expect was a room that smelled like piss with a carpet that had clearly tried to be cleaned and was still soaking wet. And no, I wasn’t checking in early; quite the opposite. I’m shocked they would put any guest in this room on this state for the price charged. Completely taking advantage of a captive situation. Make sure if you ever book here to ask in advance if anyone has recently pissed on the carpet of the room they are trying to give you. Really wish I could give less than one star.

I love staying at Best Western. They always have clean rooms. They breakfast was real good at this location. Definitely something for everyone. I would definitely recommend staying here. They parking was ok. The rooms all face the inside of the hotel. Your room doesn't exit to the out side. It was very quiet and peaceful.

We were given our key only to find out the room (a suite) had never been cleaned from the previous guests stay, towels and trash on the floor, bed unmade etc. Were given another suite, where the bed and linens at least had been changed and the bathroom had been cleaned, only to find used towels from the previous guests were hanging on the back of the bathroom door, and the end table looked like someone had spilled something on it and was never wiped down when the room was cleaned. I informed the front desk and asked for fresh towels on Friday, but had to go down to the front desk on Saturday morning to get them myself. The hotel itself is not a bad hotel, but the housekeeping REALLY needs to do a better job. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect a clean room for as much as you pay to stay here.

I am not typically uptight BUT I was at this hotel only 14 hours and saw six roaches during my stay...three of which were in our room. I'm just warning fellow travelers. Sure the beds were comfy, the location was great, the place appeared clean, but bugs are no bueno. I better not have picked up hitchhikers that's all I'm saying!!!

This BW just underwent extensive renovation with nice decor. However, the room was not properly cleaned. The dining area had warming trays with water in them and old nasty food floating in them. This was what we saw in the evening and …

We stayed one night during summer break, when Clemson University was not in session. The room, service and complimentary breakfast were great. Key item to ask about when booking a room: the rooms with a private balcony open out directly on to the large conference center. If this isn't what you're looking for (it wasn't, for us) - make sure to ask for and get the other type of room with a view to the outside of the hotel. Which we did. Overall, good value for money during summer.

I checked in last night and was greeted with two women at the front desk (one named Ayana, check in with someone else if possible) who were extremely rude during the check in process. Others noticed and came to help and didn’t receive an apology until the next day. Great location for a game day but I will not be back.

We only stayed one night of 2 scheduled. Roaches in the room. Not one...but 7 that we saw. Had to put all our clothes in sealed bags to insure we did not bring any home. Really ruined our weekend get away.

Appears to be an old repurposed Embassy suites hotel. Good sized rooms, great mattress. Breakfast was decent. A little rough around the edges, but pretty good.
