We enjoyed our visit to the zoo at Bear Hallow. The best part is it is a free zoo! We got to see the otter, alligator, owls, a doe, tortoises, and the eagle. We were sad the bear enclosure was being renovated so they were away but that gives us an opportunity for another trip. It was easy to walk through and enjoy each animal. My children said it was their favorite part of the day.

Great little trail with animals to see. It’s perfect for toddlers. Low risk because it’s free and not too crowded, high reward if you’re kids are into it. You can tell they’re trying to update and clean up.

This place is hiding in plan site. Small zoo with lots of animals to look at . The thing that surprised me was that this experience was absolutely FREE. I'm bringing the family here all the time because it's a nice place to get away for a little while and also see a Swamp Puppy up classes without getting eaten.

This was such a a sweet little zoo. The animals are beautiful and it's great to be able to get out with young children. Sadly, it is in some disrepair and needs some help

Took our grandson there. He had fun. He's still a little young to understand it all but never to young to learn about wildlife.

Cute little (free) rescue zoo. Just a few animals and exhibits in decent enclosures; a neat place to take the family. Nice walking trails inside the park but I’d skip the public restrooms.

We really enjoyed the trails that provided some pretty views and decent elevation. The free zoo was a fun little place to visit but be mindful that the bears are not active and don’t make much of an appearance until later in the spring.

Free to visit with parking lot. Since it was a colder morning many animals were sleeping/out of sight though during our visit. Ones spotted include: bald eagle, barred owl, great horned owl, river otter, various snakes in reptile house, turkey, sleeping bear, and sleeping skunk. Animals not visible: beaver, deer, fox, alligator

Came to check out the little free Zoo. Did not see many animals as I think it may have been too cold still, Feb 1st. When walking through the zoo, I thought I was smelling spots of weed but ended up being a skunk they have on exhibit at the end. It was a nice little free stop. Parking is horrible.

Always a great zoo to go visit! It is free, but considering donating to their cause! It's great for injured wildlife to have a safe place to heal and recoup even if they stay for the rest of their life. The animals are much more active in moderate weather so it's a good thing to do for the family when it's "too cold" for long trips out but not "too hot" for regular summer activities.
