Nice cabin, does not have river access, there is a nice creek on the property that's accessible when the yard is mowed. The house is nice with great appliances, a game room, and a hot tub! The resort amenities are great for families. The hosts were great and easy to work with. It would have been better with some additional maintenance of the outdoor spaces.

Convenient to gate access. Yard has a paved walkway to give basic creek and very minor river access. We hoped to do some fishing but ended up having to ask the neighbors if we could use their yard. Everything inside seemed new and clean. This seems to be a great place if you want quick access to an event in Ellijay or nice place to watch wildlife . We saw some deer and geese crossing the yard. Be carefull of the driveway. We were driving s compact and it is a sudden right with a steep hill.down to the house with a decent climb and jump out to the right off.the driveway to be safe of the blind traffic rounding the corner. (We were honked at twice and are not slow drivers!) This place can be nicer than a local hotel if a night or so stay is needed but there are no reasons to.pay any more than that of a hotel. IMHO... Beat wishes.

The perfect place to get away and explore! My kids absolutely loved playing in the game room and outside on the swings, with the tetherball, and mostly in the creek as us adults relaxed and made a nice, warm bonfire. The outdoor kennel fenced area for the dogs was a very nice touch. Especially for those who want their dogs to enjoy the fresh air, but are afraid of them possibly wandering off. The area was too beautiful to even describe! Even the inside! You can tell the owners have put a lot of love and thought into the place. It is seriously a dream! Not to mention there’s a hot tub!

My friends and I spent the last weekend of January at Bear Claw River Lodge. The resort offers great amenities and the cabin was very clean and cozy. Great view of the river as well. We will definitely be back for a stay in the warmer months! Brad and Piper were great hosts and offered us plenty of information on activities nearby.

People, yes, I am talking to you....if you have children and dogs, this place IS for you!! We have both. The biggest downfall for me when renting a cabin has always been that there was very little parking and absolutely NO AREA outside of the cabin for kids to play. Well, Folks, look no more because this place has an amazing and large yard area. You can toss a ball, set up a volleyball/badminton net, relax in the hammock on the babbling brook, enjoy the hot tub,play tether ball, throw horseshoes, relax by the firepit, zip down the kid friendly zipline, bbq, kayak down the river (on the property), fish....whatever to your liking. It is a recreation oasis! Plus u are in Coosawattee Resort which offers a ton of amenities. The cAbin is fully stocked with a welcome basket of various snacks and VERY clean! I will definitely go again!
