Such a great and beautiful spot to get some sun, sand, and beach feels. $5 for a parking pass which can be paid with cash at the entrance of the park or with card at the welcome center upon entering. Very well done, new area that is great for families and chill couples. This beach is smoking free and has good room for beach tents and chairs. Closes at sunset and is managed by State Park Rangers. Bathrooms right near the entrance of the beach. Only downside was that the wash-off stations for feet were not working when we went yesterday. However, the park plans to get those working soon as they have just recently undated this beach area. Life jackets available and hanging up. Wheelchair accessible ramp down to the beach area. Lots of parking spaces, pickleball courts, and mini golf area

The renovations made to the beach are really great; they added a large number of spaces with tables and grills for visitors to enjoy. It costs $5 to enter. The parking area is big, and the restrooms are clean. The only thing I didn't find were showers in the men's restrooms. The restroom and changing areas are spacious. Overall, it's a good place for families to enjoy. Please help us keep this lovely family entertainment space clean.

The new renovations look great! There are more than triple the picnic tables now than back then available. The splash pad has a delay in opening but everything else is open.

Went today 5/23/2025 and it was so fun! Super nice and CLEAN. Definitely worth it. There are staff and volunteers walking around at all times monitoring everything. Everyone is responsible and respectful of each other and it was a great day! Definitely recommend! You can bring coolers and snacks just no alcohol. So much fun! I will definitely be back this summer with my kids.

We discovered this spot through social media and were excited to check it out. We arrived at 11:00 AM, but upon reaching the gate, we were informed that the beach was at full capacity. The only available access required a 2-mile walk……. Given that we had young children, a cooler, and beach gear with us, we decided not to proceed. If you’re planning a visit, it’s best to arrive early to secure parking. Otherwise, be prepared for a longer walk—something more manageable if you’re not traveling with little ones.

The beach is nice and clean but the beach hours are not stated anywhere on the website. The park is open at 7am, we were told by one employee that the beach opened at 8am, then everyone in line was kicked out by another employee to the visitors center stating the beach does not open until 9am. If the website would state their hours or update their social media, there wouldn’t be this problem. Again I love this beach but since the renovations, changes were made and not updated to the public. I do not have a problem with coming later but please inform the public.

And what an amazing place to take the kids for the weekend. But only is it safe and clean it has such a friendly environment. Everyone is polite and kind. The bathrooms are very clean and close by to the beach for changing. The park is pet friendly but not the beach. But there are plenty of picnic tables and barbecue sets around to enjoy pets and family fun. Not to mention you have a very historical environment around you as well. The kids and I loved the history and playing on the beach. So much to offer here

It should be noted that, at the moment, the beach opens only at 9 am and they won’t let you wait at the entrance a minute sooner. Going by the erroneously mentioned timings of 7 and 8 am, there was a line of cars there just before 8 and were all asked to leave and not wait. Since it has been informed to the public that the parking lot fills up and you will be turned away when it’s full, it is to be expected that folks will turn up at the advertised times. If details are updated, they won’t have this issue, and folks won’t have to arrive so early for nothing. Once you are in, it’s a pleasant experience. N. B.: There are no showers at the restrooms.
