I have never worshipped at this church. As a lifelong member of the Methodist Church I am extremely saddened by recent choices this church has made. An opportunity for this place to shine as a beacon of true Christianity in this devolving culture of churchianity was willfully ignored. The demolishing of a historic building while fighting the plans and opportunity to provide a blessing to the community is shameful. Truly heartbroken by these decisions.

I have attended this church since 1984 and it has continued to be attentive to ministry both to the existing congregation as well as the Athens downtown community at large. There is a focus on discipleship and mentoring for students and families that I have continued to be amazed by. The children's ministry was one of the primary reasons our family joined this church 8n 1984 and it has gotten exponentially better over the past 40+ years.

It shows a lot about this Church that they'll selfishly tear down a historical building for parking lots rather than something that could've benefited the community. Options were given to them but they turned it down

Not a bad place to worship. I kept getting the vibe that this is one of those churches you go to rub elbows with politicians and big-wigs, but the people were friendly enough. If you identify as a man, I'd recommend a bright pink tie for service. They just seemed to do that a lot, and when in Rome...

It is a pleasure to support a congregation that lives the Word of God. My church home is Mt.Bethel in Marietta, Ga. But when visiting my son and family I am blessed to worship with you all.

Excellent music preaching. Lots of things to do including Bible study, small groups, music, choir, handbells, children's choirs, there is something for everyone.

All these years I haven't noticed how large it actually is inside. It's very beautiful. Though I have only showed up at the upper level (conference center?), the building is very nice inside.
