Attended the fair at the Athens Clarke County Fairgrounds on 9/15/24. The customer service was not good at all. The driveway was rough and dirt road like. They had a sign saying “look at the sky before you buy”. Just lack of customer service for me that I didn’t like. There wasn’t many rides to choose for, but they did have a lot of food options. There was also a free circus that you could attend in the big tent. It was hot and crowded in the tent, but the show was entertaining. It was $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and free parking. As far as the rides one ticket is worth $1, and each ride cost a different amount. There were porter potty’s if you needed to go to the restroom (also wasn’t a fan of that).

We brought the kids to the Monster Truckz show and had an amazing time. It is outdoors and the fairgrounds do not have a covered arena so we were lucky that it was a nice day. Also beware, there is no plumbing at the fairground so all bathrooms are porta-potties. The Monster Truckz are AWESEOME and do some cool tricks. I especially liked Fluffy...this truck is bigger than my house! They also had dirt bike stunts, 4-wheeler stunts, and a human canon ball. The tickets were cheap ($15 for adults) but everything inside the event is super expensive. Cotton candy was $12.00, rides in the Monster Truck was $18.00, face painting $12.00, and the bouncy house for the kids was $6.00. But the show was almost 2 hours long and the drivers came out afterwards for pictures and autographs. All-in-all an amazing time. Will definitely be back!

An annoyance to the local community for the last 4 years. The fairgrounds used to be a non-issue but whoever owns it now has no desire to be a good neighbor and blasts music at all hours for days at a time.

Fair was great! It had a rodeo and the traditional rides. Me and my toddler enjoyed the rodeo while my teenagers enjoyed the rest of the fair. Had a little bit of everything for a night of family fun

Lots of people right on top of each other not wearing masks in a pandemic! Light show great but way to many people packed into a space with entrance the same as exit point. Needed to be about half the people that where there per show. If your covid19 leary as I am I would not recommend this

Fun but not as many rides as there used to be growing up...kids had fun and the funnel cake was huge for 7 bucks..def worth your money
