They have fallen so far from God their Church is their God. They cast out members who have been loyal members , volunteering their time and are kicked out the door! Sonny was a great pastor but since he left it is not somewhere I would go or let my children go!

*Disclosure... I've never attended this particular Church of Christ, but I was raised in the religion (there might be some small differences from church to church, but they are fundamentally the same.), so here's my experience... Do NOT raise your children in the Church of Christ.. especially your daughters. My siblings and I were brought up in this mess and it caused so much damage. I was blamed for my sexual assault as a TEEN, was asked to stop teaching Sunday school as soon as one of my male students was baptized, my sister and I were made to feel that we were responsible for the dirty thoughts of males due to what we wore as CHILDREN, taken for virginity checks, shamed for dancing, forced to hide the abuse we suffered at home so we could look like the perfect Church of Christ family, and then SHUNNED and excommunicated as soon as we started showing doubt. Suddenly, you are a pariah to the exact same members you grew up with and who said they loved you. My parents being in the COC meant that the abuse never ceased, mainly because of the fact that the ideology of the church did not encourage any self reflection, but instead made my parents feel like they were already perfect the way they were because their baptism ensured them a place in heaven, so why would they try to change? The COC has recently attempted to "rebrand" themselves after modern times and social media exposure caused their membership numbers to fall drastically. Suddenly we aren't going straight to hell for attending a prom? Good to know. Check out the ex coc subreddit for more testimonies. I'm not the only one. Just do yourself and your family a favor and skip this TOXIC CULT altogether. I've been in therapy for most of my life just trying to recover from the damage that's been done. There are tons of religious options out there. Trust me, you don't need this black and white ideology to get into heaven. Oh, and they think they are the ONLY ones going to heaven, btw.

One of the most loving congregations of believers I have ever been a part of. Variety of worship music to meet many needs, very practical and biblical and enjoyable teaching. There is always a desire to grow and meet needs, and small groups are very helpful in building close relationships. Highly recommend.

Very engaging & welcoming community of believers of Jesus Christ. They have a great children's ministry with caring and loving staff and teachers. Church is a diverse community of young and old and from different ethnicities which is very refreshing. They worship with and without musical instruments. Loved the message on spiritual giving.

We love the diversity here, and that people strive to make the Bible their standard. Very hospitable outside of the standard Sun and Wed meetings. Excellent children's program! The staff and elders allow for members to create unique service opportunities in the church and in the community. The members embrace those of unique lifestyles.

The only church I will ever be a member of. It is based on biblical principles. I have grown and learned more about Jesus Christ than anywhere else. The congregation loves to worship our Father. We also do our best to obey His Word. No we aren't perfect. And we love the truth. Hope some of you decide to check it out.
