We recently hosted a couples retreat at The Ark at Lake Lanier, and words truly fall short of capturing how exceptional this experience was. The property itself is stunning—immaculate, professionally decorated, and it was spacious enough to host our entire group comfortably. Every corner of the home and its grounds radiated a sense of peace, safety, generosity, and tranquility. But what made our stay unforgettable was the care, attention, and hospitality extended by our host, Jackie. It was such a pleasure to meet her and her wonderful husband, Scoby. They took such good care of us, we felt like family. Jackie went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met—and then some. As a special blessing, she prepared the most incredible meals for our group, turning each dining experience into a time of divine nourishment and joy. Her warmth, presence, and Southern hospitality deeply moved our entire group. Our retreat attendees shared that the weekend far exceeded their expectations, and they repeatedly named Jackie’s care and the atmosphere of the home as central to that experience. While we didn’t have the chance to meet the owner, Jeff during our stay, he was incredibly helpful and friendly in the early stages of our booking. We also appreciated learning more about the story and purpose behind The Ark—the spirit of generosity and mission-driven hospitality at its foundation is still very much alive in the energy of the home. Whew! What a place! We were fortunate to be guests at a wedding at the Ark. We had our two bullmastiffs with us in the barn cottage and it was perfect! The main house has so many areas to congregate or places to sit for a quiet moment. The pool and hot tub area were the perfect place for us all to hangout during the day, switching to the fire pit at night. Thanks for the incredible experience!! (My only note is that there is not a single place in the barn cottage to hang a garment. Not a rod, rack, or hook to be found anywhere in the bedroom or elsewhere beyond the bathroom towel rack)

What an amazing experience! Such wonderful views with every possible amenity you could imagine. It was such a lovely place for our whole family. We used the dining hall for a luncheon birthday which was beautiful! There’s so much to do….watch a movie in the theater, swim in the pool, play corn hole or volleyball, or just relax! Jackie and her team were amazing and made absolutely amazing meals daily! Highly recommend taking your family here if able 😊

We had a wonderful experience at the Ark on Lake Lanier resort! It was very spacious and we had some exceptional views from our room. We enjoyed some relaxing time near the pool and enjoyed the movie theater. The property was decorated beautifully and it felt like home. It was just perfect for our family vacation. Jackie and her staff were fabulous! They catered to our every need and we plan to come back.

I spent the weekend at The Ark on Lake Lanier for a wedding event in February. The accommodations were spacious and the interior design was professionally done with beautiful views of the Lake from my bedroom and all the common areas. The staff were very friendly, helpful and very professional. It’s a perfect venue for all types of gatherings year round. There is a beautiful pool with pool house, a cozy area with a fire pit, and goregous outdoor seating. There are so many amenities and you are steps from the lake and boat dock! I can’t wait to go back!
