I could not give them a 5 star due to a few small issues. While this place was nice because it was far enough away from Helen to be quiet but close enough to not have to drive too far, it definitely needed a few upgrades. The AC in the downstairs bedroom sounded like it was going to break down the wall when it came on. The shower in the bathroom was so hard to get it to start that I thought we would accidentally break it. They didn't post anywhere that there was not any regular cups, silverware, or plates to use which would have been okay had we known there wasn't any so we could have brought some with us. We let the site we booked through know how many people would be there just for them to leave just 4 towels and 4 wash rags for two days (two adults & 2 kids). We have no idea if said site let them know who all would be staying. We did love how quiet it was even being closer to the other cabins. The other guests in the other cabins were considerate. We didn't hear anything from them. The cabin itself was nice even though it was a little small. It made it feel more cozy than cramped. Our kids loved having their own loft with their own bed and TV. Overall we would consider booking them again.

Stayed here for two days. Cabin was cozy, rustic and very clean. Bed and sofa weren't comfortable. Air conditioner in bedroom was noisy but kept the cabin cool. Rocking chairs provided on front porch.

GREAT GREAT cabin experience so far! We are here till Sunday but so far it's been great! Only downside are the 64 steps you've got to climb BUT YOU ARE WARNED on the website when booking there are a good bit! Will definitely be coming back tho!

Hands down the best cabin experience my husband and I have ever had. It was quiet, the people were extremely nice, and everything we needed was right there. I have no complaints. We will be back soon!

Place is cozy and off the beaten path. Only 1.5 miles from downtown Helen. Could use a few updates but overall would come again because check-in is virtual and convenient. Host is highly responsive. Place is clean and bed was comfortable. Although the TV is small, doesn't really matter because who wants to stay in a cabin while in Helen.

The place has bedbugs no wonder it was so cheap I have been ate up. Place was nice but it definitely needs cleaning and pest control. I'll load pictures on booking.com

The cabin had everything we would need. We enjoyed our short stay. No bugs. Good temperature. Decently cleaned. The second day was rainy, so we spent most of the time inside the cabin. No complaints.

I selfishly don't want this place to get popular, but it deserves to be known. Great location. Great hosts. Great price. Definitely recommended for couples looking for a place to unwind and reconnect.

We absolutely loved Alpine Mountain Cabins! There are a few different cabins with different sizes on property, but we stayed in Cabin #7, which was located at the back of the property, and made for a couple. The location of the property is just outside the Main Street of Helen and we found it to be on the less busy side, which made getting in and out much easier. Just down the street are the two tubing places, so it was quick and easy to come back and change. To get to the cabins you have to go up to a shared parking area at the top of a very steep hill. Our AWD made it up the 17° incline fine, but I could see some smaller cars struggling especially in snow or rain. It felt like you were going to the top of a roller coaster. Cabin #7 has a large spacious porch that makes an L shape leading you to the woods where we saw deer and a bear wandering around. The steps to get up to #7 are no joke (65 if you were curious). Pack light, in separate bags, or plan on making a few trips as you cannot pull up to the cabin to unload. The room was very nice and provided enough space for the two of us. There was a table with two chairs, a small kitchen with mini fridge, stove, microwave, and complete with dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils and pots/pans. The jetted tub was very nice and relaxing and definitely a highlight of our stay. We can't wait to be back!

The cabin was nice, it could be a 5 star little cozy cabin for couples and small families. But they made the small useless fire place “in the summer” the focus of the cabin instead of the bed. Most people stay out all day, eat out and want to get a good night’s rest, but that bed was so cheap and uncomfortable I still have a pinched nerve in my neck. The pillows are flat and way past the expiration time of use, the mattress is a thin lumpy cheap spring trash mattress. A $600 mattress from big lots would be much more comfortable than the outdated cheap crap that was in cabin #3. I would recommend that cabin if it wasn’t like sleeping on the floor, I definitely won’t be back but not because it’s not a nice clean place but because i would have slept better in my truck.
