Sometimes you just want a cold beer, a decent glas of wine or a strong mixed drink — in a happy place with friendly service! Allgood Lounge is all that and a little more. Ample of bar seating and even a few spots outdoor. If only due to COVID-restrictions drinks weren’t served in plastic cups. Until next time!

In the 3 years I have been in Athens, Allgood has been one of my favorite bars. Every time I had been, pool was complimentary. Within the span of a week pool was no longer free, according to the bartender working at the upstairs bar. Many bars charge for pool, so this in and of itself is not a big deal. I asked the bartender why it had changed all of the sudden and she very snarkily replied that it had never been free in the 6 years she had worked there. If that is the case, which I find hard to believe since I have played pool at Allgood many many times before, then there certainly would have been a more hospitable way to communicate that to me and my party. I had 100+ people coming into town for my wedding and many asked which bars are worth checking out. I was planning on recommending Allgood however after this incident I recommended other bars (some of which charge for pool but have always been consistent and up front about it). Thankfully, they all had a blast at these other places!

Great place and atmosphere to watch the dawgs play. Huge 2 floor and rooftop bar that can serve hundreds of people. More adult than most bars downtown.

Craft beer folks, don't go here. Service was ok but drinking beer with best by date of Feb 2018 on the bottle (in April 2019)... Tough to force it down.

Didn't try any food, however; we sat outside and njoyed downtown Athens and it's scenery. They have a World of beers from many Countries. Nice spot

Best bar in Athens. Great beer selection, both draft and can. Cool environment and layout. Great service and location. Best happy hour in town (dollar off from 5 to 10). Tile floor makes dancing fun, but not much space to dance.

Worst Bar Ever. At least, that's what the T shirt says. Allgood is, interestingly enough, the only bar on google maps, to my knowledge, that says it's a 21 and up bar. Honestly, that's a good definition for it, too. It's a place where grown people go to have fun and drink away from the mobs of freshmen and out of town people that mob the less... classy establishments. The staff is very consistent and efficient, and it's a well run bar. Not the cheapest drinks in town, but they have a good selection and mix well! Upstairs has pool and an outdoor area that's nice. Definitely a chill place to go and have a conversation.
