If ever there was an example of a small-town home away from home, Al-Huda Islamic Center would qualify for it. It is home to a small, yet vibrant community in Athens, GA. Recently, the mosque has expanded its outreach by moving out and getting to know the community in Athens better. It is now involved in helping out the less privileged in and around Athens. The mosque is open to people of all faiths, and a herd of curious people from other faiths can be seen every Friday at the mosque. The cookouts, the games, and Ramadan feasts are amazing at this mosque.

Salaam I wish to thank most sincerely the organizers and sponsors for the distribution of the daily iftar. The volunteers who worked distributing the food should also be commended for doing such a fine job. May Allah subhannaha wa taallah also reward them for their efforts.

We prayed Jumma there when we came to UGA for our son's orientation. It's a nice clean space for prayer. Alhumdulillah, we liked it.

While I'm not Muslim, I really enjoyed my visits to this place! A warm and welcoming community that makes even a queer polytheistic pagan feel at peace, and welcome back!
