Our daughter has been taking classes here for about three months. This is one of the best environments for learning the development of character, positive social interaction, and self-defense in the entire Athens and Northeast Georgia region. My Foster daughter just started classes and I love the patience each instructor has shown her. I had some concerns about the contract because it says you have to pay for 10 months plus the 1st and last month. I really hope that my child is with me and will want to continue but you never know. I expressed my concerns and was told by the instructor if she changes her mind just give them 30 days notice. the contract may say one thing but they will honor a 30 day notice. I love that! I also love that she is loving being there and learning self control. I definitely recommend this program for any child that needs a little extra support/encouragement to do the right thing. ……

My son attends AKF and he loves it. His focus has increased and physical abilities have greatly improved. The atmosphere is professional, welcoming and fun. Fun is paramount for my son. He started at 4 years old (they can start at 3) and if it wasn't fun, he wouldn't still be there at now 5 years old. The instructors do a great job of balancing fun and learning. The price is affordable and the class times are flexible. So if you want a martial arts training without a lot of ego, but still serious about technique, this is a great place.

My 5 year old son attends AKF and they have won me over. Master Blumreich (and his staff) are incredible at working with the kids and I am so glad we found this place. I would highly encourage you to give it a try, especially if your child needs to work on their listening skills. It is a positive environment, my son really looks forward to going. It's a wonder to watch the magic happen and watch the kids respond.

I am new to the school and relatively new to martial arts in general. The instructors are incredibly patient and knowledgeable. There is also an awesome leadership program that helps you learn terms more quickly and practice leading portions of class in various drills. I appreciate their emphasis on building knowledge as much as skill. This is a great activity for people of all ages.

My 13 year old son was very involved in an amazing MMA school in Asheville, NC from 5-8 years old. When the owners of that dojo relocated to another state we couldn’t find another place like that and he stopped MMA, which greatly affected our lives. After moving to Athens, we realized that it was time to look for another dojo as equally wonderful as the one in NC. After an introductory class with the owner, (Master Blumreich) sitting in on another class here and visiting one other school, we knew we’d found the right fit. The instructors are patient, kind, professional and make classes fun while also challenging and exercising the students. They’re great about taking one on one time with students. Highly recommend!!!
