Absolutely atrocious. We booked a stay in July for an October visit. Communication off the bat was great. We told them our intentions of having a small family gathering for a wedding. They approved the gathering 3 months in advance. We had 4 adults in our party driving 12 hours across country with 2 children and an infant. The day for our trip finally came and we got unpacked and settled when we received an urgent message that they were no longer allowing our get together that they had previously approved (because they failed to get owner approval) and they were canceling our reservation. So now we have to urgently find a new place to stay (with a baby), we needed a new location for a wedding within two days. The host and company completely stopped responding. Extremely unprofessional, awful people all around. They didn't even apologize (please see screenshots)

Stayed at the Deer Crossing location late Oct 2025. This was one of the best cabins we have rented in the area. Above The Rest Cabins is our new goto cabin rental website for all future trips to GA mountains.

We were looking to rent our cabin. The owner talked forever in circles. I’m sitting there 45 minutes for the second time just seeing what next best step was. It was a very unprofessional conversation with his wife in the background saying our cabin was ugly in the background in the photos (it had been completely redone since then), laughing. I said we were in the process of finishing the basement and then she took the phone from him and said it doesn’t sounds like our clientele. It’s an 800 k cabin and they treated us like trash. I wouldn’t recommend working with them. Doesn’t seem like someone I would want to do business with or rent from.

I stayed at the Antler Lodge and it was above wonderful! The cabin smelled amazing, was immaculate, and there were so many nice little thoughtful things throughout. They had bath sponges, robes, slippers, chocolates…all the comforts of a luxury hotel while being in a luxurious remote cabin. We’ve already talked about going back with our whole family. Can’t say enough great things about our experience with Above The Rest!! I Highly recommend Above the Rest and the Antler Lodge!

Enjoyed a quick getaway with my wife and daughter. We loved our stay. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was quiet and off the beaten path. |We enjoyed the shops and restaurants around Blue Ridge. We also enjoyed the Scenic Blue Ridge train ride.

Absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect romantic getaway for our anniversary. The layout of the cabin is set up just right for a good size family as well. Everything was so clean. This cabin was definitely Above the Rest! It exceeded our expectations! We will absolutely be back soon!

My family rented the Tranquility Cabin for a week during Spring break. The cabin is gorgeous, clean, and has breathtaking views of the mountains. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals. The company includes slippers, robes, toiletries, firewood, and quality towels/linens. They even include coffee/creamer, little chocolates and gave us complimentary treats for our pups! We had an issue with the hot tub not working during our stay and we were disappointed. However, the tech came out multiple times to try to fix it and when he was unable to do so, the company comped us an extra night stay for our troubles, which goes to show they go above and beyond. The road accessing this cabin is rough, so I’d def recommend an SUV or truck if you book this cabin, specifically. My family and I will def use this company again in the future. We’ve booked many cabins in the past and this company superseded all of them.
