Our onboarding experience so far has been amazing. LaTresa made us feel welcome when we came in for our tour. She explained everything really well, has been incredibly accommodating, and has already gone the extra mile for us. We felt a strong sense of community right off the bat. Since we are moving from out of state, we were very happy with how simple and quick the process has been. We are very excited to move in and be a part of this community!

When The Oaks denied me, and Legacy told me they were unsure if I could get approved for an apartment because of one very minor misdemeanor, I thought my chances of getting approved for an apartment were over. But Latresa restored my confidence in myself, and I can proudly say that I now have been accepted to live at 1287 Shoals. I am so appreciative that the application process was super simple, and Latresa was reassuring, and so helpful along the way. I am so thankful to be a part of this community!

Do not move into this community!!!!!!!! I lived here for three years, and my experience was very disappointing. When it’s time to renew your lease, long-term tenants should ideally receive better rates than new tenants. However, it’s the opposite here — long-term residents are charged higher rates than new ones, making it very hard to stay. If you plan to move out, they will try every possible way to persuade you to stay. But if you insist on leaving, they will find excuses to withhold your deposit. In my case, I cleaned the apartment thoroughly before moving out — it was spotless — yet they still found reasons to keep my deposit. Another issue is that their staff changes very frequently. If you ever deal with them, make sure to keep all evidence and records of your communications. Otherwise, when you try to follow up later, they may claim that the person you spoke to no longer works there and refuse to take responsibility.

Latresa is truly phenomenal. She goes above and beyond to be sure you get what you need. The homes are extremely nice. She is the reason if given the opportunity to go anywhere else I’d still choose here. Great customer service, very welcoming, and most importantly she’s available. Thank you again sweetheart for everything.

First Review: The application was straightforward and the move-in process was the easiest I've experienced at any apartment. The community is very well-maintained and inviting (especially compared to other nearby communities), which makes for a lovely living environment. Everyone I've encountered has been friendly, including both staff and neighbors. Rent is a bit high for the area, but you're absolutely getting your money's worth. Apartments are spacious, the amenities are well-maintained, and it seems like there's a great sense of connection between the residents.

My husband and I are very happy that we were lucky enough to settle here. Very beautiful residence. There are all the conditions for comfortable living and receiving guests. Managers and other specialists are very welcoming, friendly and always ready to help. When I contact them with my problems, they solve them immediately. Despite the fact that I know English very poorly, everyone treats me wonderfully. Many thanks to the girls in the office, they help me a lot 😘! If you decide to settle here, then this will be the best option!

1287 Shoals is a great and comfy place to live, with two bus stops nearby for easy access to Athens' free public transit. Especially one of the latest additions to 1287 Shoals' management, LaTresa Allen, has been very helpful with requests on part of the residents.

I’ve lived here for over a year now and the community is great. It’s a quiet, tucked away complex on the east side of Athens, conveniently right next to an Aldi’s and a few other grocery / food spots. My experience here has been ultimately positive. I’ve enjoyed all of the amenities including the pool, pickleball courts, and the gym. My favorite parts of this community have been set up of the complex, including a mini pond on the property, and engaging with the wonderful staff. It’s also a 12 minute drive to downtown Athens, and less than an 8 minute drive to the highway. The apartment I lived in was one of the most spacious apartments in all of Athens (I lived in the Jasmine style) and I loved it. The balconies are also the largest I’ve seen an apartment have here in Athens which is a big plus for the plant people out there. I have to give a special shoutout to LeTresa Allan. She is a newer staff member and an incredible person with the best intention for the 1287 Cedar Shoals community. She is a very honest, caring, and dedicated person to her job and to this community. I’ve seen many positive changes since her time here and I’m grateful to have met her before I moved. She’s been a wonderful addition to the cedar shoals community and I want to thank her for her support in this community. 1287 Cedar Shoals has treated me very well and if I wanted a more long term stay in Athens, I’d absolutely pick this place to be.
