I spend hundreds of dollars a month on cigars at this location because Antonio is hands-down the best in the business in the local tobacconist market. As long as he's there, this location will get all of my cigar business. He is extremely knowledgeable about every brand they stock, from factory conditions and brand quality to flavor profile and pairings with other cigars and with drinks. He's curated several amazing experiences for me for special occasions, has never steered me wrong, and goes out of his way to keep up with my evolving tastes and needs. Apart from his expertise as a tobacconist, he's also an extraordinarily well read and published scholar and is an amazing guy to talk to--a real gem in the Westside operation. If you're new to cigars or are a veteran cigar smoker who just wants to connect with a fellow enthusiast, Antonio's your guy!

Last week my car broke down while I was driving. This place was the closest to me so I parked my car before more damage occurred. I left my number with the employee who told me that I could leave my car overnight while I tried to find a mechanic/anyone to help. Around 11:30 the next morning, two of my relatives arrived to fix my car. The owner of this place decided to come out and FLASH HIS GUN at them while they were fixing my car. Wow, what professionalism and maturity right! Don’t support this business. It’s owned by a despicable person.

Love this place. Antonio has been a wonderful guide on my journey into cigars. He knows his stuff about the leaf and the spirit. I could buy sticks online but Antonio is the reason I stay local. By the way if you know nothing about tequila Antonio will educate you on that too. Y’all go see him. Tell him Big Don sent ya. It won’t save ya no money. But it’ll make him wonder who the heck Big Don is!

Five Points Bottle Shop has just about anything that you would need in terms of adult beverages. Their staff is very knowledgeable about Regional products and they always do what they can to order a product that you might need. I particularly like the fact that they do not mess around when it comes to selling to anyone under age. It is posted in several places in their store which is nice.

My state issued driver’s license was confiscated, damaged, called trash, and thrown away. I visited today and when asked to verify my debit card with an ID, I presented my driver’s license. It was issued to me when I was 20 and is nearly 6 years old, so it had a little wear in one corner and the film was peeling there. The cashier said it was peeling and yelled for a coworker “Richie” to give a second opinion, assuming the ID was fake. Before I could do anything, Richie took my ID and proceeded to rip the protective film almost completely off, call it trash, and throw it away while telling us to “have a good day”. Luckily I had my concealed weapons permit with me and they took it and examined it for several minutes before giving me either ID back. I received no apology from the cashier when she returned to give me my IDs and inform me that I should “just use the CWP when I come in from now on.” Richie didn’t leave the office to offer an apology for destroying my ID either. I told her that I would not be purchasing from them now or ever again after their mistreatment and the destruction of my ID. Now I have to go pay for a brand new license because a small blemish that the police and TSA have had no issue approving was turned into a completely unusable ID by the west side bottle shop. I called the police and filed a report for destruction of property. I have shopped here many times but will never return and will never recommend this establishment because based on other reviews, it seems they have a habit of humiliating people and stealing their IDs because they can’t accurately identify fake ones. Perhaps the store should invest in an ID scanner to prevent treating customers this way in the future? Of note: I am 25 years old. The ID is vertical because I renewed it when I turned 20. The ID had a little wear in the corner due to its age. If I were trying to use a fake ID, would I not opt for a newer and horizontally oriented ID?
