Was just sort of goofy... I watched, attentively, all these Transfer modules and junk and saw one that talked about "budgeting". Financial Aid can build a budget and someone coming into Athens from over a hour away, seemed good to me. I asked: First gent had no clue what to do. Said he knows they offer it but never handled it before so he sent me to some boss lady. She just passed me onto a Grad Assistant who, to best of his ability, "helped me". He just got my E-mailed and mailed 8 different Excel Budget documents and mansplained (not saying as a diss) 20/80 to me. It was just, like... dude... but oh well. I will just wing it, this "adult" thing, I suppose

Every person I spoke with is rude, has attitude and has a tone like the call is bothering them. 0 stars is a more appropriate rating. Awful!

I have called every semester for four years with some question or another related to a grant we receive from our home jurisdiction (we're residents of Washington, DC). I have always gotten an almost immediate pick-up by someone who wants to help and I have always been able to work through my question/issue. I'm glad this is almost over, but it's been easy working with the Office of Student Financial Aid at UGA. Go Dawgs!

This office is consistently one of the easiest to talk with and get to the bottom of questions I may have.

They provide as little information as possible. I am now rushing to appeal my lost Hope hours after withdrawing this semester because they never told me about being able to appeal for withdrawn credit hours after saying I would just lose them.

I called in to ask about one of my loans earlier this summer. After listening through 3 minutes of automated messages about how they’re different from Student Account Services and 20 minutes of waiting, the person that I spoke to was incredibly rude to the point of making me feel uncomfortable about continuing the conversation. They deserve less than 1 star. UGA, please do something about these people.

How ... is this allowed? The service is literally burdensome as a student to call this place, to get redirected through the MAZE of automated "FAQs" that are painfully unhelpful , and should I somehow manage to actually get an employee on the phone after a good half hour wait, they talk to me like I'm an idiot and should know better for asking the questions I did. Hey sweetheart! I'm paying for myself through college and ya I have a couple questions because the system is sometimes incredibly confusing--so do your darn job with some courtesy and professionalism and not with that smug attitude. God I would give zero stars if I could

If i could give less I would. Horrible service. You'd think that after what we pay in tuition we'd get some decent service. The housing authority and other departments are the same way. I've called multiple times and they have 3 people max answering these calls. Hold times are a minimum 20 minutes. They will tell you what you want to hear even if your problem is unsolved! Come on Georgia.

It is almost impossible to get in touch with this office as they have an automated phone system that essentially sends you in circles as it tries to prevent you from talking to a real person. This would be fine if used only to redirect the caller to the website WHEN appropriate and if it freed up the staff to answer real calls with real questions in a reasonable amount of time. It is not. I have been trying to call this office every day this week and remain on hold for the entirety of my lunch break before having to hang up again in frustration and return to work. Additionally each and every year I have to fax a form to UGA for one of the student loans for my daughter. Each and every year that she has been there, the form takes HOURS to successfully fax because apparently the UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA has ONE fax machine in their FA office. ONE. The line is inevitably busy. Shocking... I absolutely love the University of Georgia but am very disappointed that a university of such caliber and size would not also have a financial aid office that rises to the same standard.
