The University of Georgia Health Center exemplifies what healthcare should look like: sincere, community-driven, and built on actual patient care—not institutional ego. The physicians and staff here value humility, professionalism, and real-world effectiveness. There’s no room for performative excellence or academic theater. What matters is competence, empathy, and doing the job right. Simple as that. Then there’s the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where reputation often overshadows reality. Too many students are lifted by faculty favoritism, politics, and excessive internal support that inflates their image far beyond their actual skill set. Honors and letters of recommendation are too often handed out not for excellence, but for loyalty, flattery, and internal networking. It's an ecosystem that protects those who play along, and sidelines those who don’t. At UGA, what you get is real-world preparation. No nonsense. No games. Just a healthcare environment that values its mission and expects you to show up for it. At UM Miller, what you get is a political performance—one where students succeed based on who they appease, not what they contribute…….

This much money for a sick visit with an NP? That’s insane. Should be a discounted public service, not a for profit private prices clinic. Not everyone that goes here is rich. Something you (UGA) should think about. 3 stars because NP was great.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at UGA healthcare . The staff over the phone have been consistently unsupportive and incredibly rude throughout our interactions. When faced with a significant issue, their lack of sympathy was shocking. It was clear that they had no intent to resolve our concerns, leaving us feeling helpless and frustrated.

I am immensely grateful for all of the professionals here at the UHC. Time and time again they have shown me exceptional care with the exception of one stubborn OBGYN. I would especially like to thank Stephen Hartle for always doing his due diligence and never diminishing my conditions or how I’m feeling. The whole team of staff has never once made me feel like an outsider or like I’m bothering them because they have to do their job. Thank you UGA and thank you UHC.

I have always had excellent experiences at the Health Center within my 4 years at UGA. All the providers (Doctors, PAs, NPs, Nurses, Staff, etc) are very knowledgeable and friendly and they try to get you in quickly when you call. It is very convenient and I have always received great care. I recommend that any UGA student who needs a PCP or is sick go to the health center (especially instead of urgent care)!!

So far I have been to the health center three times and have seen a different nurse or doctor (I scheduled it for the earliest appointments, however you can schedule your preferred doctor). I have never been more impressed by the hospitality and the love they have for their patients. I have never submitted a review for any business or clinic, but they deserve all the recognition. The entire staff is very well educated and explains throughly what you have and even show symptoms you might develop based on CDC studies. I especially am grateful for Linda Thurman and Sara Glover, as they make my stay as enjoyable as possible for me and will do anything in their power for me to be a as comfortable and happy as possible.

This health clinic is criminal. They accept my insurance but are still charging $150 for an appointment that is only $15 at every place I’ve ever been off campus.

Warning!! If you are a recent graduate the health center will tell you that they will service you through the semester after you graduate. BEWARE that does not mean fees will be the same as when you were a student. In fact, if you are on student health insurance they will cover NOTHING. You’d be better off going to a doc in the box and getting covered by student insurance there. Wild that student health insurance doesn’t cover you at the university’s own health center! What’s most surprising is that not one time did anyone warn of this - seems like a major lapse in communication and an easy catch. So like some others have said, good service overall but beware of the surprise bills!!

I really like the University Health Center at UGA! The staff and providers are always so friendly during my visits, and they offer a large variety of services which is super convenient. I only wish they had more space for more counselors in CAPS, so hopefully this can improve with time.

I absolutely love the care I’ve received from Blue Clinic at the UGA UHC! I had Dr. Lindsey N. as my care provider and she was super friendly, patient, and knowledgable. I really feel like I was heard and my problems were addressed and I’m feeling so much better!
