This is a really terrible USPS. I am here often to ship for my business. There is only one nice worker here an older black gentleman. Everyone else is rude and will rush you and mishandle your packages. They will take your mail from you but not actually scan it. To prevent this ask for a receipt everytime, do not leave your packages ANYWHERE. Only hand them to the clerk and ask for a receipt. If you ask for a receipt they have to individually scan each package using the cash register computer. You will be able to visually see them weigh and scan every single one of your packages to ensure none of them go missing. Do not leave your packages outside of the office or in the blue Dropbox, they will be stolen or mishandled to the point of going missing.

Had to arrange for a pickup for this Tues - THANK YOU FOR HAVING THAT SERVICE BTW. Then I got confirmation of it being successfully picked up, yet the box hadn't moved and is still sitting there right now as I type this - and this is after my speaking w/a local agent on the phone who said someone WOULD def be picking it up Tues, which I was so very grateful and relieved, and then after I proactively placed another TWO pickup requests w/the same detailed explicit instructions Tues early evening when it was clear it wasn't going anywhere. But now it's almost Thurs and this box still hasn't moved and it is really that important for me to have it arrive by Monday on time as promised. It REALLY needed to go out Tues and so this is why I have been SO obnoxious. I even opened a claim on the website just in case to ensure that this message might be intercepted by someone who can help. I also plan on calling the local post offices again tomorrow as this truly isn't ok. I went way above the norm to ensure that this precise situation would NOT happen, in the agonizing detailed instructions etc. So this is what I've done to ensure the best chances of this box actually being physically picked up tomorrow, as well as to leave absolutely NO confusion and in my DIRE hope it WILL be picked up tomorrow, Thurs March 6 (pic). If helps, most recent online pickup Confirmation Number is: WEC640654132 on the porch, a few feet to the right of the front door under the window as seen in the pic lol. Thank you and I do apologize for being this obnoxious. However, I was told this was going to be picked up Tues, then told it was, then told that someone was coming, then then then. So I would so very appreciate any help which is why I'm going so far as to leave this review. If that box doesn't go out tomorrow, no joke, I am in a bad situation. I hope you can understand and please work with me. Thank you

one of my favorite historic buildings in Athens.. good old southern folks carrying on a historic tradition.. back then most, as this one does, have a court house on upper floor.. love the solid marble, absolutely exquisite.. go dawgs!

I have had multiple items stolen from the outside blue box from this location, as well as packages that were handed to the clerks never being scanned or delivered. I witnessed with my own eyes an employee take three of my packages from the blue box to take inside, and then they were never scanned or shipped out. I can’t make this stuff up. I am a seller on eBay and have lost hundreds of dollars and have taken hits on my reviews solely due to the incompetence of this post office. Please find another place to drop your package, it is not worth trying to use this one. I have had packages sent and been fine here before, but it’s not worth taking the risk as the last 4/10 have been stolen or never sent.

I've had a PO Box at this location for about three years now. There has been only one time when I had a negative interaction. To be fair, it was more of an indifferent attitude than a negative interaction. Really kind of a wash in the ocean of pleasant experiences. Once I got the yellow slip, but there was no package. I went back several days later to ask them to look again, and they found it. I lost more things before lunch yesterday than they have ever lost of mine. I'm nice to them, they're nice to me. Nobody's perfect.

I run a small business, so I go to the post office multiple times a week, as well as have a PO Box here. Never have I used a post office this incompetent. Only one worker here is friendly, the rest are extremely rude. They are closed even though the hours posted on the door say they’re open more often than not. I’ve had multiple packages get lost or not scanned in after dropping off. Packages haven’t made it to my PO Box even though the tracking lists it as arrived, so workers have had to go scouring the back to find them if they haven’t been lost already. If you can, USE A DIFFERENT POST OFFICE.

Today was my first time going to a post office in general, so I didn't know the process of how anything worked. I walked in visibly confused but the woman working was very helpful. I was able to get my package sent with no problem. I felt the need to add my experience because i was initially wary due to the many bad reviews this place has.

Honestly zero starts the man running the counter was the rudest person I’ve ever experienced. I had forms I need to drop off that needed to go in a PO Box there and he refused to put them in the P.O. Box. He didn’t not far to help he just said oh well your problem not mine. Even though another worker had put things in this same PO Box before. Will never be going there again
