I recently had an appointment with Dr. Scoma, and I was thoroughly impressed. He worked on my shoulders, back, neck, and hips, and I could feel a noticeable difference right away. Dr. Scoma took the time to explain each step of the adjustment, listened carefully to my concerns, and made sure I was comfortable the entire session. His approach is both thorough and compassionate, and you can tell he genuinely cares about helping his patients feel their best. The Joint is definitely a fantastic place to get adjusted. Not only was the front desk staff welcoming, they explained everything to me clearly as I filled out the forms. Dr. Peter listened to my concerns and adjusted me appropriately - the treatment plan was explained well and made me feel they valued me and my concerns rather than trying to prolong to get more money. Highly recommend esp. if you need a place to go in between a busy schedule!

Dr. Johnson and staff were lovely from start to finish. Even as a new patient with several others coming in they got me through in the 30 minutes, recommended times to fully tend to what I’m dealing with, and sent me off with info packet and a ice pack with intro offers to share with friends. I will be coming back, especially with their tiered pricing. I can’t get a better deal and since it’s a small chain you can visit other places with your info while traveling. Bless The Joint Athens, they helped me with neck pain that had been going on for over 2 weeks but felt so floaty after my appointment with Dr. Johnson.

I decided to give The Joint a try because I was having neck and back pain as well as headaches and they were priced where I could afford it and had wonderful reviews. I thought it was going to be a wonderful experience when I walked in. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive and answered all of my questions. However when the Dr. took me back he started off by asking “why now?”. It then felt like the appointment was very rushed and he was very rough. While he did crack my neck and help it feel a little better, he stretched my back in a way that actually made it hurt in more places than it did when I got there and when I said something about it, he didn’t do anything to try and remedy it. He simply told me to walk around, asked how my neck felt. Then told me I was good to go schedule more appointments and called the next patient back. I’m not sure I will be returning for a second visit.

They always do a great job and offer adjustments for a reasonable price. Always have had a great experience. I have the monthly plan and it is convenient and easy. Also able to use my HSA which makes paying easy as well.

I was very pleased with Dr. Derek. I had a less than graceful dismount from my horse this morning and my lower back was really angry with me as a result. Dr. Derek took time to discuss my injury and my pain. He was delicate with the adjustment so I didn’t feel pain from it, and he finished by discussing how to manage the discomfort I’ll have over the next couple of days and follow up care. I will be moving to the area in September and knew I’d need to find a local chiropractor, looks like I did!

I started coming here two months ago and at the time I was barely able to even walk, Dr. Derrick really listened to me and you could tell that he genuinely wanted to help me. With every visit I started feeling better and better. He even taught me some exercises to do at home in between visits. Not only is Dr. Derrick great but Lindsey at the front desk is to. She’s always helpful and has a great attitude. I will continue to go here in the future and I highly recommend this location.
