This little ice cream joint is conveniently in between two of the restaurants my family and I were eating at tonight. With a name like Swirlee's, of course we had to come in and grab a sweet treat. This ice cream shop is really cute! I love the decor. Two gals were working tonight. They both greeted us. They patiently waited for us to decide what we wanted while we checked out what was in the ice cream cases and the toppings they had. They have a bunch of fun toppings and syrups available. Most of them were candy and dry toppings like cereal or cookies. Everything looked good! There was lots of options of Hershey's ice cream. I have heard of Hershey's selling ice cream but never had the opportunity to have it till today. With as many options as they had, I got a small scoop of rush hour. My husband got a large cookies and cream shake. My scoop was the perfect size. Enough for a little treat after a big dinner. Rush hour was a coffee ice cream with chocolate chips in it. There was also a third item to the ice cream but I can't remember. The ice cream was creamy and sweet. It had a great coffee taste to it and it wasn't overwhelming my husband's cookies and cream shake is great! It was topped with whipped cream and an oreo. It was thick and creamy! My husband finished every bit of that shake! The girls did a great job whipping it up. It was nice coming into this ice cream joint after dinner. I wish I would have asked about the toppings they had available. I didn't want to assume that we can just add them to our ice cream. Back home, toppings and ice cream are all weighed per oz. But there wasn't a sign or scale by the toppings so I just left my ice cream the way it was. The two gals working tonight were sweet. The joint is really cute. Hopefully i can make it back for one more scoop before we travel back home.
