This visit, i saw a diffedent Dr.(im horrible with names i appoligize) And he was just as friendly and caring/compassionate as the first Dr. that I saw. There are two Drs. there. Ive had very bad experiences with medical personnel in the past, not listening to me and basically just in the profession for the money(treating me as a number not a patient) , not because they genuinely want to help people get better. But Summit Spine treats you like family, are compassionate, and seem to genuinely care about your condition and getting you better. The staff is also very professional and courteous. One of the best( if not THE BEST experienced ive had with any medical office and personnel)

If you’re in pain, Summit Spine can help you. Let them advise you on the proper course of action. I continue to feel better and have a follow up visit this week after having an injection a couple weeks ago. Their closest office to me is a fifty mile drive. WELL worth the time on busy I-85! You’ll be pleased. Less discomfort is a wonderful experience!

My husband has been a patient going on 3 months now. The staff are so friendly and the doctor's are amazing. They take the time to sit with you and listen with no judgment. The doctor's want to help you and they understand your problems. We recommend anyone looking for pain management to give them a try.

Due to our recently moving to the area my husband and I needed to find new Doctors. We had both been under the care of a Pain Management Dr. for 10+ yrs. so finding another we trusted was a little nerve racking. As it turned out we were quickly given the name of Summit Spine in Athens by other Doctors and Patients so we gave them a try. We have so far been pleasantly pleased with the Kindness, Professionalism and Quality of Care shown to us by the Doctors and Support Staff. Would have no problem giving them High Marks across the board. Maybe the one honest not great thing is, wait time is sometimes a lil long. Feeling Better makes the wait worth it tho.

I had an awful experience! I was there for two hours! I waited in the waiting room for over a hour to get to the back. The doctor that I saw Dr. Carlos Pulido was very rude in a nice nasty way! I switched here from my Pain management to save money because I’m disabled and on a fixed income. The doctor wouldn’t listen to nothing that I had to say! I had back surgery with infusion in 5/2024 and this guy gonna tell me he didn’t see the scar but see a fresh scar. I told him yes the new scar that isn’t healed is from having a Spinal Cord Stimulator implanted and he gonna tell me the scar isn’t from that because the scar is to big and long. I said sir I was asleep while having surgery so I don’t know because I wasn’t the surgeon. They had 70 pages of records from my previous Pain Management but He doesn’t listen to nothing at all. He asks you but then says shhh shhh like I’m a kid! I must say the front desk staff was very kind and the medical assistant was so super sweet and nice! I left there and called my old Pain Management doctor, Dr. Steve Crider from Origins Spine and Joint back so fast and asked them to take me back because going to Summit was a big mistake! I didn’t research at all because my insurance United Healthcare found Summit for me because they took both of my insurance so I wouldn’t have to pay anything out of pocket but nope I will happily pay my 20 percent to Origins Spine and Joint because they at least listen and everyone is nice there. I wish I could give Summit a negative zero rating. There are other doctors at Summit and I hope they are not like the doctor who I saw but you never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Very frustrated! Being passed around like a hot potato. Cannot call and get any problem addressed. Keep giving me appointments to drive which is a half-day and for me a whole day round-trip every time. They'll make me appointments with a provider ( PA , new Md) those doctors refused to address my issues and made another appointment for me to come back to see the main doctor. This was for visits which is $30 worth of gas each trip and my husband taking off a half day work and it is agonizing for me to ride that long in the first place. They have no consideration for what they're putting you through and just try to give you your money back for the visit like that means anything how about the gas the time in the effort to get there. Not to mention the pain I've been in now for two months. I went in complaining about swelling in my extremities which was 4+ pitting edema. Never once to look at my feet and legs to see how swollen they were, argue with me that's not causing that yet I've been in Pain Management for 20 years and have had to come on and off Tylenol for that very reason. They treat me like I don't know my own body. Why would I make that up. You can't make up EDEMA! I have liver issues from having to take so many anti-fungal medication's. What they wound up doing is decreasing my pain meds IN half for what reason I still do not know and I am to the point I can barely walk for the last two months not to mention they threw me into massive drug withdrawals as a very sick senior citizen with untreated hypertension and no instructions on how to taper The dRUGS down. Had I not been an RN that worked in detox for 22 years and was certified and knew how to do that there's a good chance I would've wound up in the hosp. as sick as it made me and possibly had a stroke because my blood pressure shot up. I believe they are trying to run me off as a patient b/c I am complicated and right out of the main doctors mouth:, I take up too much of his time and he has 40 patients today to see. He made no effort to refer me to somewhere else. He suggested I get concierge medicine which is not available in my area and if you don't know that's where you pay out-of-pocket for your care and see doctors on demand. Who has that kind of money in the first place on a disability income? I feel very pushed aside and thrown away and uncared about by this clinic. I feel like the new doctor would've done something if he hadn't been so afraid of his supervisor. I don't know what to do because there's very limited providers in my area and I am exhausted going to doctors already with all my multiple medical conditions are average 3 to 4 doctors appointments a week and this is killing me . I am just sad and depressed and feeling desperate at this point and nobody is listening to me except a very kind medical assistant, who thought she found what happened possibly was a computer error but when she brought it up to the doctor he still wouldn't see me after I drive all the way over there for a scheduled appointment. I just don't understand and I am confused and desperate as to what to do. No point in calling as I was told they don't handle issues over the phone! Obviously they don't handle them in person either this is for Appointments trying to address the same Issue that no one will address except the main doctor and he is refusing to see me for some reason I am unaware of! If they're going to refuse to see you they need to call you before you drive almost 2 hours to get there and tell you. This is twice now this is happened! I'm feeling very desperate I don't know which way to turn off all the rules. I have never missed an appointment and I have never had a dirty urine, I am pleasant and cooperative. I do not know what else they expect from me but this is ruining my life I cannot function in the state I'm in and it is causing all my other health issues to go into crisis because of the amount of pain I am in and I don't know where else to turn! There are very limited and/or extremely poorly rated providers in my area. I feel trapped and desperate!

I score Carlos and his medical staff as an A+. I felt relief from pain due to their expert training and techniques. HOWEVER.... I would NOT recommend anyone take even their DOG for treatment at Summit because a lack of communication and transparency. After nearly 30 months and over a dozen visits/procedures at the Athens office, I noticed that the phone NEVER rings. Reason being? All calls go to a call center in Lawrenceville and it is impossible to get a communication to my Doctor. As a 75 year old patient, I compare this treatment to my other doctor's transparency and it is as different as black and white. I cannot understand why I'm treated as a lump of coal. Why is this practice unlike all my other medical care? I do not even have a patient portal to use, like my pharmacy provides. RIDICULOUS: I give the office communication a F. I can't speak to my physician or staff. What is Summit trying to hide? 😔
