The good is that it's been safe and secure. The bad is that they will significantly increase your rate after you've been there awhile. I called to ask why my rate went up, and the person I spoke to said he didn't know why. When I told him how much it went up, he said, "Wow! I've never seen one go up that much." He said he could "escalate" my query and a manager would call me back. It's been several weeks and no one has contacted me.

Great 6 months plan for storing my personal things until I was able to make my move. Unit was clean and building was always clean! I was impressed by the fact I never saw bugs in the building.

Using Sparebox storage in Athens, Ga proved to be a very good choice for my daughter who attends UGA. The location and the ability to move in and out of the unit was a very easy experience. Customer Service Rep. (Shani) was great! She had all the answers to my questions and was very pleasant to speak with.

After calling last month to upgrade my storage unit to a bigger size, I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it was to do, and I was thrilled that I was only charged a prorated amount since I wasn't at the bigger unit the entire month. I get a call this week about my new unit not being moved into and that I needed to call and let them know if I moved into another unit instead. During that very first call I made, when I called to upgrade, i wrote down the new unit number. After the call, I waited until my account reflected the new number. Went to the storage unit and got lost even trying to find this new number. And finally moved into the number that was both on my account and conveyed via phone. After receiving a call today that I "did not move into my new unit" I check my account today and its a completely different number with the last two digits being completely different, so much so that its impossible for me to have "mixed up" these units. Not only did they have the audacity to say I needed to pay a transfer fee from a unit I had never even occupied to the one all my stuff is currently in (which they waived so good job on that at least) but they also cut my old lock and put a red lock on there which they said i couldnt even use myself. When I called to ask for a refund and explain the situation the answer was just a straight up no. Its unbeliveable that I was penalized, had to make calls to get my own stuff unlocked for a unit that THEY GAVE ME and not even given a refund on a lock that they broke for putting me in that unit! No accountability whatsoever. If you are looking to put your stuff somewhere, DO NOT rent here, or any other sparebox storage space. If i didn't have so many things, I would've moved to a new company today.

Edit: I just called the corprorate office and they said nothing could be done, so I'm not sure why the owner responded to this review with "call corproate". Did not uphold the 20% discount as promised for the second unit. They failed to mention it was only for the first month. They have two carts for entire facility and one does not work. There is no one on site. Everything is handled over the phone and supervisors have no authority to overwrite failed promises made by representatives. Every request I make is a "No." Units are overpriced and require high monthly fees for insurance. Worst experience I ever had with a storage company. Other companies are far better. Leaving as soon as possbile.

Jalynn went above & beyond and I very much appreciate her professional approach. Cheers to 2025!!! 1/8/25: Honestly, I found Kasi to be somewhat robotic & not customer friendly. I questioned the inaccurate online posting regarding the rate & she was at best indifferent. Not many folks get away with false advertising. Additionally, I asked to speak with a supervisor & she advised that they wouldn't be helpful either. I've had a larger unit rented for two years & ALWAYS pay on time. It was quite disappointing that she was unable to honor the rate as advertised online. That's my two cents...hopefully I will be able to vacate the units in the very near future and services no longer required.
